I am getting married in May, and I am having a hard time finding the perfect cake. Any websites that show wedding cake pictures so I can get a few ideas?

What is the perfect cake??? Nobody pays any attention to the cake. All they care about is if it's good, so get a couple of flavors so people have a pick and don't sweat the small stuff. Five years from now the cake will be the least of your decisions to make in the big married world.

I searched theknot.com and weddingchannel.com. I also searched did a yahoo search, and found some local bakeries in my area that had photos on their websites. I would also recommend visiting a few bakeries and looking through the books and photo albums they have there. We ended up finding 2 cakes that we like parts of, and the woman who is baking our cake combined elements of both into a cake that we custom designed. If you have something in mind, but don't see it anywhere, talk to your baker and see what they can do. They may be able to design something especially for you to your own design specifications. Good luck!

If you can't find the perfect cake for you, consider these ideas:

Plain white cake with you monogram

Get a plain white cake and ask your florist to bring enough extra fresh flowers that match your bouquet to cover your cake..that look is bold, but will complement your wedding nicely!

The Knot.com is a great website, but if your like me and like to look at something on paper. I went to Wal-Mart and bought some Wilton Cake books. They have many cake ideas.

Congradulations!!! I am getting married in Aug. My wedding cake is going to have three round tiers(all white)with a fountain underneath it. Then it is going to have four heart shape sides. Two are going to be choc. and the other two red velvet. The whole cake and sides are going to have buttercream icing and lavendar icing roses. I would suggest goole, yahoo, or check out magazines.

In addition to theknot.com (which is a great resource) also try www.marthastewart.com/weddings. Also http://www.sylviaweinstock.com/index_fl4.html. This is Sylvia Weinstock who is the hottest wedding cake designer right now.

A word of advice, stay away from the Fondant...it will jack the prices up on the cake.
