Ask your priest about the RCIA program, if your future husband wants to receive communion. If not just have a ceremony without communion either one is accepted by the church. Good Luck!

I think it really depends on the church. My husband is not catholic and we were able to get married in the catholic church. We just omitted some of the catholic rituals like having the first communion during the ceremony. I worked out good that way too because the ceremony wasnt too long for our wedding guests.

I think that churches have different rules. I think that you can still get married in the church. To know for sure, call the church you are thinking of using and ask. For some churches they may require that you do that, but some may not.
My sister in law got baptized, had her first communion and confirmation all in one night! She did those to become catholic for her wedding.

If he is catholic he would have to do his first communion and then get married usually they go to classes and do the first communion on the same day of the wedding. but it depends on the church you are getting married in.

A Catholic church would have him make his Communion first. Maybe a modern Catholic church would not, but around here, they are are all old fashioned and I know that they uphold the rules.

well actually my fiance and i are getting married in a catholic church and he actually has to take classes for it-first things first you need to talk to your priest or the leader of the church you plan on getting married at and see what his requirements are some churches and religions are different also some priests expect more from you than others-

If it is a Catholic church, then you guys can still get married in it because as long as one of you is confirmed, it won't matter. You can still have communion, but he just can't take it. He can just have a blessing instead.

It's not as important as if he were baptised. Even if he were of another religion though, he'd still be able to get married in the Catholic church, as long as you were a Catholic, and had all of your sacraments. Good luck!
