Depends on what the invitation states and where they are holding the wedding. If your boyfriend is in the bridal party i would try and dress up just a little more, so that is photos of the two of you, you both look balanced.
I would try a few dress shops and see what they suggest, also if you know the bride talk to her and see what she would like you to wear. When i got married a few people asked me for advice on what they should wear. If you really don't have a clue, stick with black dress knee lenght, hair in an up-do, and really classy jewellery, high strappy shoes.

Florida, June? A nice sundress would be appropriate. You may be in quite a few pictures with him though and you may want to dress a little better so you look good with him in a tux.

If it is during the day ... you can wear a light colored strapless tea length dress, and keep it simple. IF it is at night u can wear the same kind of dress in a dark color or maybe a metallic color which is really in now...or some sparkling accessories.

have you heard from your brother on what the dress code is because some weddings are really formal and others are quite casual

If you are not in the wedding but your boyfriend is then you should wear a nice cocktail dress...

If anything, remember that this is a formal thing, so dress formally. A gown will suit your gender.
