Staples, Target & Michaels have invitations you can print yourself. That way you can design the invitation to fit the occasion.

Also, you can order them from Kodak. You can either include a picture of you guys, or a cartoon or a general picture to capture the theme of your wedding. They are inexpensive, come with envelopes and usually ship within a week. We ordered our Christmas card with a picture of my son on them this past year. The quality is really good.

2 great sites I went to
www.invitationsbydawn.com
www.annswedding.com
Not sure what you are looking for or what you deem the "same old" but those are very inexpensive.
Consider designing your own. They sell design your own kits at most arts and crafts stores like Michael's or AC Moore, but if you are really wanting to go unique and informal try buying paper for regular invites like at Staples or Office Max and make invitations, that just happen to be to a wedding but dont look anything like wedding invites.
The only thing, be careful when designing your own b/c if you go over in size or weight (very easy to do if you are layering several sheets of paper together with glue) you will spend a fortune in postage.
I love those 2 sites though. I thought they had the largest selection for invites under $1 each.

Hi, I made invitations for my neice last year. A inexpensive, simple, quick way: Print out all the info onto vellum paper, attach to cardstock with a hole punch and ribbon. This way you can use any color of cardstock, ribbon, even vellum for a unique look. Good luck!

i think of the digital mail invites at the instant are not a solid thought. yet I in simple terms say that as a results of fact I overlook approximately countless emails that come by way of that look stressful. i think of you could desire to deliver ordinary invites to all that are invited (they do no longer could desire to be fancy, in actuality they ought to no longer be fancy. Hand write them, if somebody you recognize has a nickname which you call them each and all of the time, handle them as a results of fact the nickname (make it own as a results of fact human beings gets the vibe of the marriage with the help of your invitation). extraordinarily as a results of fact it would not sound such as you're having too huge of a customer record, it won't be too puzzling to deliver each and each customer their own invitation. so a techniques as some techniques for what you should do.. i could advise doing something which you like. in case you have a time-honored nutrition, have that.. no remember how unusual others could think of it to be. (My September wedding ceremony could have corn canine and DQ ice cream cake and video games like Cornhole and Ladder golf exterior for customer to play and mingle with) as a results of fact that's who we are and to us, that's a occasion! in simple terms bypass with what you could choose to undergo in strategies your wedding ceremony with the help of and verify you don't be apologetic approximately a topic! solid luck!

Make your own invitations....I did....
I'm having a St. Patty's Day wedding and did them myself...mine is also informal...that's a big spend...don't do it.
Use pig clipart...make it funny.
