During my wedding planning, I have had a hard time finding exactly what I have been looking for, whether the items were too highly priced or just not the style or look that I had envisioned.

Very frustrating...

SO, I decided to make some of the items for our wedding and it is all turning out great!

I am thinking about starting my own business making wedding items for a low price. This business would offer hand-made, creative, personalized items for your wedding, such as guest books, pen holders, ring pillows, flower girl baskets, and other items that are personalized expecially for your wedding with your wedding colors and style in mind.

You would be able to see samples of all of the different items and choose from a wide variety of colors, styles, and looks.

I am just curious to see if there would be enough interest in this type of business before I get started. I will be posting on several websites.

Thanks in advance for your opinion!
Happy Wedding Planning!

I am getting married April 28 and I have all the invatations done already..... I put the RSVP date on them for April 1st. Should I send them out the middle of feb so that gives them six weeks from the rsvp date or am I suppose to give them six weeks from the actual wedding date?

Queen Victoria was the first to introduce the color in the 1800s as a sign of wealth. Prior to that, and even during that time, everyone wore their best dress which was a color of some sort. A blue dress was what someone wore if they wanted to put their purity on display. Why do people today act like color is such a novel idea that no one else has ever heard of in the course of history?

I have to get my engagement ring resized (it's white gold) - it needs to be smaller by about 1/2 or 1 size. I'm afraid it won't look as good when it comes back! Has anyone ever had their ring resized? And does it look just as good as before?

my fiance and i really love to go hiking at the state parks near us. our favorite ones are Treman Park http://www.cs.cornell.edu/~dmitriev/photo_album/at_cornell/robert_treman/jpg_Z_PICT0125.htm

(piccy of my favortie part) and Toughannock Park http://www.taughannock.com/photo1.html (overall piccy of the falls)and we were maybe thinking of having our wedding at one of them, since it would be cheaper than a lot of other places (as much as i love some of the castels i've found, they're rreally expensive!!). would most people think this is really weird? and is this a good idea? would you go to a wedding at a state park? do they even allow weddings at state parks? or do you think it'd be too awkward for guests, especially since ours is a medieval theme, and even i feel silly wearing a costume not at the Ren fair. does anyone know of any other outdoor places, maybe some gardens or smoething in NY that aren't really expensive but would make a pretty place for a wedding?

Hardly anyone calls them wedding rings. And you never hear about engagement bands as those are always called rings. Why not give them a consistent name?

I am having a chocolate/coffee themed wedding in the fall ('08). I have looked online, but since my idea is still a new one there isn't much out there. I have the basic ideas (coffee beans, useing creams, serving coffee & chocolate favours, etc.) So I dont want any simple ideas - but if someone has unique & interesting ideas I could use... :O)
I need ideas for kinds of flowers that go well (silk flowers). I want cream coloured accents too. My dress is off white & so are the flower girls'.
ONLY serious answers please.
Thank you.
