Hey everyone! I am getting married on June 2 of this year, and the church that we are going to be married at requires us to have 2 meetings with the minister prior to getting married. We went for our first one the other day, and he told us that when he meets with us again, he wants us to have our songs selected for the ceremony! I am clueless about the songs that are out there! We want something modern ......nothing from the 60's or the 70's please!!

Thanks so much!!!

I dont like cake that much, but I need one for the tradition of my wedding. So, basically, boxes for the bottom 2 layers and real cake on the top, so I could cut that for just me and hubby.

We are getting married this August and have decided on Jamaica for our destination! The next step is selecting a location that is all-inclusive and handles all the wedding details. We plan on having a handful of family members attend the ceremony. We have looked at Sandals, Beaches, Breezes, and Couples Resorts in Jamaica. Can anyone give us first-hand feedback from a wedding experience in Jamaica? Even better...any pictures? Thank you SOOOOO much!

My brother wants to propose to his girlfriend of 6 years and was asking me what a good size is. I have no idea!!
How many carats are ideal?
HE is upper middle class, definately not a millionaire, but he wants to get her a nice sized one, bigger than average I suppose.
He is in the price range of $5,000-$10,000

Say you really wanted to marry someone. I believe the legal age in the UK is 16 but would you tie the knot this young? I know most people on this site are over 16 but if you could go back in time to this age, would you do it?

Just curious...

Getting married on the beach and I really need some ideas on the type of dress, and where I could purchase one from (UK Only).

Just found out that Virgin Atlantic won't let me take it as hand luggage, unlike some other airlines, so its going to have to be something that will go into my suitcase!

I don't want something plain or just bogstandard, i still want to look like a princess in it.... :o(

Any ideas?

My fiance's parents are refusing to discuss the wedding because they are hoping to pursuade her against getting married. They are a wealthy family, mine is not, and they are convinced that I will not be able to take care of her and want proof before they will discuss the wedding. We have 10 months to plan at this point and cannot wait any longer to start making arrangements, but I do not have the means to put on a wedding on my own, I work in the non-profit sector and have student loans. Does anyone have any advice on dealing with these people, my fiance is unwilling to sever the relationship and plan the wedding by ourselves, but we are out of time as far as waiting for them to come around goes.

just met a guy for 2 times. He is nice and i think he really likes me. he is a foreigner living in my town.
His communication type is sending sms to my cell phone but never calls me (i dont know why).
Whenever he wants to invite me for cinema or coffee out, he always sends sms like " How are u" then " what r u doing now" then " would u like to go to the cinema"
why doesnt he " do u have time for the cinema now" and thats enough??. There is no need to send such 3 or 4 messages for that stuff., as I think.
What is he thinking? Is he serious? What should i do?

I love her to death and I support her decision but she's 19! A little too young in my opinion. What are some things that I can tell her? Both in support and not so much support about the situation.

Also we live in Utah so I don't know why I'm freaking out so much, I mean in Utah if you're 21, a lady and not married they think you're a dinosaur.

I am on a serious budget for my wedding. Does anyone know of a vendor who offers chair cover rentals for less than $3 per chair? Also, does anyone know of any vendors that sponsor certain things at weddings and receptions for advertising themself at the event.

My college roommate is getting married and myself and the maid of honor are in charge of the bachelorette party. I have tried looking at sites about parties, but I thought I'd try to get some more original ideas.
The party is going to be conservative in that there will be no stripper (or other pornography) and no drinking. Can anyone help come up with some fun activities we can do that are fun and a little naughty, but still fitting into the desires of the bride?
