Yeah, The beach wedding is a really good Idea, One of my good friends a couple years ago had a Beach Wedding, About 100 people went on a Carnival Cruise and One of our stops was at St. Thomas Island they got married thier on the beach, Laid back!! and the reception was at a patio at the hotel resort they chose near the beach. It was awesome!!!!
It was all coordinated well, Photo guy was there, there wedding planner ....it all worked out good....

and having a bunch of people at the cruise was a blast as well !!
100 people at a cruise........yeah...that was trouble waiting to happen...hahahaha!!

Ohh everyone paid for their own cruise and all, but we all saved our money because most of us hadn't been on a vacation for years, so heck we all decided that we would do this together for us and the bride and groom....yeah... good memories..
Good Luck!.............

I'm having a medieval-Robing Hood and Maid Marian-celtic wedding. everyone in the wedding party is dressing in medieval clothing (i'd like to get all the geusts to too, but i doubt that i'll be able to.) instead of the same old ceremony you hear, we've put ours together on our own, from bits we found on the internet. we're having a handfasting wedding, with medieval ring vows, and a couple other medieval thigs stuck in there here and there. i like it a lot, sinceit's way more personal than what a traditional wedding is. and so far it's not costing a lot, because we know where to look for things, and it's a hell of a lot easier to make things on your own with a medieval theme i'm finding out.
but in the end it's up to you!! some of the idea i saw on here were really good. i think the madhatter tea part is probably the most unique!! good luck!

I've always wanted to have an "Un-Wedding", you know.. Mad Hatter-style. The wedding itself would probably go on in the traditional way, with the parties wearing elegant (yet off-beat) apparel.. The groom's men wearing 'penguin' tuxedos, with top hats and canes. The reception would be awesome.. With a topsy-turvy cake, a 'tea party' feel, with mix-matched silverware, plates, tea cups, etc.. Guests dressed in drag, caberet-style.. The bride and groom dressed in opposites (Bride in a tux, groom in a wedding gown)... Have cookies and finger-foods inscribed with "Eat me" ... And just about anything else you could think of.

And of course, an open bar. ;)

I had friends get married at the Renaissance Festival. They dressed up as king and queen in full costume (as did the wedding party). We had turkey legs at the reception. They both wore beautiful crowns. It was a blast! The kids loved it and they usually have package rates for that.

If you go to the chat section of www.indiebride.com, you can get a ton of ideas for alternative weddings from brides who are doing it now or who have just done it. They have great ideas for doing the weddings on budgets, too.

I pronounced some cool cakes, even as me and my hubby change into searching for our acceptable cake. We determined on a three tier bitter cream pound cake with buttercream icing. We used a bow that matched our pew bows as a cake topper! It change into ivory with a gold cinderella carriage contained in the approach the bow. I were given my idea from this web page! examine it out!

It depends on your taste and your money limit.
Think about what you love, what makes you happy.
