That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard and no it's not to much if it's true love. I only wish there were more men out there like you. It sounds like you know what you want and don't plan to rush into anything so all I can say is
GO FOR IT BOY... Good luck and make sure someone records it for you that way she can always look back at it and it will always bring her warm feelings and a tear to her eyes as well as her heart. Congrats...

MPO...she's too young. How old are you?
You both may be SOOOOO connected, but that is normal and about 75%+ hormones.
If you decide to get engaged and be sooo serious at such a young age, you may create some grief for yourselves later on. You need to see a little more of what's out there in life. You both more than likely have college...it's a big world with a lot of people in it. You're going to do what you like anyway as most stubborn youth do, just beware that an early committment may create a huge lion's den that you need to steer clear of from that point on. Temptation is an awful thing and even more so at such a young age. Sounds like both of you could live life a little more. If you're truly in love and all that, then you'll still be together at 25 and can get married then. Why the rush? You don't need a ring and ceremony to be faithful to each other. Good luck brother.

I would suggest you wait. I was engaged once when I was about 20. I thought I was so in love and that we were gonna be happy the rest of our lives. Needless to say, we both grew up and we ended up not growing together. I can't imagine being married to him anymore. Both of you will grow emotionally. Your needs and wants will change. I hate to see people get married in or straight out of high school. Life has so much to offer and there are so many people and things to experience. I can say that I have definetly changed since HS and I would hate to be in a relationship that I have grown out of. Waiting won't hurt anything. Just give it a few more years to make sure it will last.

Who is she fooling. She's already "ruined" the relationship she has with HIM by sleeping with you. She's definately one that you'll have a hard time trusting, should a marriage happen between the two of you. Is it fair to that other guy that you are both seeing eachother behind his back. HE had nothing to do with what the two of you had and nothing to do with the reasons you both parted ways. Tell her to give the guy a break and be honest with him. She isn't a committed person in any respect and it's funny that the two of YOU will most likely end up together. Have you seriously thought long and hard about what marriage will be like with someone who might sneak around behind YOUR back and then tell her lover that she can't leave you? She sounds like a real prize!!

Dude I am telling you, dont propose in front of everyone at her prom. It is NOT a good idea.

I have seen this grand gesture tried many times and it only ever winds up with the girls in the bathroom crying.

Keep your proposal a private moment between the two fo you.

ALSO, her school may not allow such a thing since they wouldnt want to suggest that they think young marriage is a good idea.

Here is a song a friend of mine wrote as a wedding proposal

Proposal Song

When you came into my life

I found someone who makes my life complete

I have found the love, I’ve waited for

So from this moment

I want you forever in my life

Like the seed finds warmth of spring

I’ve found the warmth your love can bring

I’ll vow my love to you for all my life

So at this moment

I ask you, will you become my wife

Chores

I want to be with you when I lie down at night
Be there beside you in the morning light
I want you forever in my life
