I'm getting married in one and a half weeks. I've planned most of the wedding myself and organized it. Just wondering, from those of you with more experience - was there something you wish you'd had or think is generally forgotten in the rush?

I've got dresses, suits, shoes, flowers, reception, celebrant and most things I think - anything I might have missed. (Will provide updates if you ask a Q.)

We are planning our weding day - How much time should we allocate for key stages of the day? We are having the civil ceremony about 12:30. When should we plan the breakfast / speeches / Evening reception / 1st dance etc.

Just as a rough guide to help in the planning of the photographers / musicians / djs etc.

Thanks

ok, So I am not american, so the stripper thing at bachelor's party for me does not make sence. But my boyfriend is american. everytime we talk about bachelor's party we end up fighting, cuz even though he has never been to a strip club, and says he is going to tell his friends that he does not want strippers in his bachelor's party I dont believe him. For some reason I feel like I am going to be very upset right before our wedding. it even makes me not want to get married.
I just think it is so disrespectful..makes no sense according to my culture.

My fiance and I have decided to just get married by the justice of the peace and take a great honeymoon but don't know how much it'll cost us to take this route.

That isn't the normal, name date bs. I want one that asks funny questions so my guests can pass it around during the reception and me and my fiancee can read it and get a good laugh.

My inlaws anniversary is this weekend. They are both in their 80's, not very active, don't like 'stuff', but do eat out alot. We are taking them to a nice dinner but would like to get them a gift also. No pets, live in a patio home, can drive.

The site I have chosen does not allow confetti, rice, bird seed, etc. so I was thinking of having people blow bubbles. However, I've heard that they can stain your dress. I've also seen bubbles that say that they don't stain. Does anyone have any experience with this? I think bubbles would be so pretty at an outdoor garden wedding, but not at the expense of my dress!

So I had my first dress fitting today, and my dress is beautiful :) But, the more I wore it, the more I started to notice these horrible wrinkles forming on my bodice. My seamstress told me there is nothing I can do about it since I have a bigger size chest, that it's just gravity weighing it down. It fits me perfectly, there is nothing she needs to take in or take out (according to her).

Since the dress is strapless, I guess that's where the problem lies. She said if it had straps, I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Have any of you had this problem or seen this happen? Is there something I can do to help it lay flat on me?

I can't afford a good enough engagement ring for her. I don't want to get an inexpensive one, so I don't know what to do. What can I do?

I have a 20 yr/old male cousin who I am very close to and I would like for him to be in my wedding. I don't have another bridesmaid that he could walk with.

Does anyone know of any other "role" he could have?

Thanks =D

My fiancee and I are getting married this May at city hall and having a ceremony for our families next year in Orlando (where we'll also take our honeymoon). However, we'd like to go somewhere after the city hall ceremony for a weekend - sort of like a mini-honeymoon. I don't want to spend more than $600. Can anyone think of a place near the Buffalo area that wouldn't be too expensive (not Niagara Falls please - we live too close and have been there too many times). We were thinking about Columbus, OH or Pittsburgh. We were also thinking about NYC, which is only a six-hour drive, but the hotels are too expensive. Any ideas?

We are doing a money tree...... money dance...... money wishing well...... I am including a phone number where they can give me money for my honeymoon... I was thinking about carrying around a empty coffee can and having the groom hold a card board sign that said "please help us pay for our wedding..... we are sooo poor and can't pay the gas bill." Would this be tacky??

We have our marriage license and the date planned for a Justice of the Peace wedding because I am 29 weeks pregnant and will be 35 weeks on our wedding day we opted to go before a Justice of the Peace. My question is, what is ok to wear to a Justice of the Peace ceremony?

We wanted to go this route just in case our son comes earlier than my due date. We will be doing a traditional wedding ceremony later this year, Marriage was planned and discussed before I got pregnant so marriage is something we had planned and are not just getting married because I am pregnant, we just prefer be married before we have our son.
