I think if you really love one another then it shouldn't matter what your religion is, he is just your boyfriend. Now if you two are planning to be married then I think you can also respect eachothers religious preference you just need to talk and plan how you are going to raise your children. If you haven't even thought about marriage then don't worry about.

Being a Catholic and being a Christian is the same thing. It's like being a Baptist and a Christian. Both Protestants and Catholics believe in Jesus (while they both believe in the same thing there are some differences) but it's not like he's an athiest and you believe in God. Also converting someone who does not believe the way you do is not necessary to have a good relationship. Grow up and accept people for who they are. If you love him then why change who he is.

The last I heard, Catholics were Christians. If you are asking him to convert to Protestantism, you probably won't succeed. Asking someone to change their faith for you is a huge sacrifice and many people just can't give up something that is so deep in their core. It would be the same as him telling you he wants you to convert to Catholicism. Would you be able to do it to save your relationship? In fairness to both of you, I think you need to have a heart-to-heart talk with him and possibly part company, as painful as it will probably be for both of you.

Um, ok this is going to shock you but Catholics are Christians! There are different types of Christians, what type are you? My belief is that if you both believe in God it should not matter how or where you do it.

if you really loved him you wouldn't try to convert or change him, you would make compromises and work together to have a mutual understanding and respect for eachother. it is very possible to be of different faiths/beliefs and have a long happy life together. It comes down to whether or not the people can make it work.

Catholics are Christian; I think the two of you have a lot of talking to do.

Could be. I take it you dumped him. Maybe your ex is telling your bf truths you'ld rather he didn't know. If you are an overall decent human being than there should be nothing to be afraid of. Why do you stay in your ex's social circle?

First of all, a Catholic is a Christian. Second, if that's so important to you, you shouldn't be with him. You should stick with your own kind; for your kids' sake........amen.

Why cause your religion is the only true and correct religion?? Wow, must be nice....
He believes in Jesus and the bible why isn't that good enough?? He not Jewish!!! He is your religion. Jesus doesn't favor churches.

Sorry, I am catholic and this is pissing me off!
