i don't personally know any druids, since the real druids have been long dead, but do a serch on witchvox for a local coven near you, and speak to them about performing your handfasting. in the meantime, look up information on the handfasting, since many covens have their own version they perform, but won't perform it for people who aren't a member. try http://www.handfasting.info this has been the most helpful page while i've been coming up with my own handfasting. also try thid page for information on the tradition of handfasting: http://www.earth-dancing.com/handfasting.htm
however, i beleive you can probably find some druid type person other than a high priest(ess) in NYC. i think that's where my best friend's cousin is from , and she told me he performs weddings like this. it all depends on where you live!! www.witchvox.com is your best chance.
and to clear it up, handfasting is legally binding only if you say something like "as long as love lasts, or the traditional till death do us part" and if the person officiating it is legally registered in your area to perform a wedding. other wise it won't recognized by the government.

I'm not sure that this sort of ceremony is legally binding, so if you really do want to be married in the eyes of the law then you will need to sort out the legal bit as well, perhaps marry at a licensed hotel or registry office first. Look up "druids" on google and see if you can find a local group near to you, or try "wiccans", they should be able to confirm the legality of a druid ceremony.

AFAIK, as long as the person has the correct legal credentials, you can get the marraige license - it's got more to do with whether or not the person in charge is recognized than the actual content/form of the wedding. Best place to check would be the county clerk, to find out what the requirements are. Worst case scenario, many places allow for a "one-day Justice of the Peace" arrangement to temporarily allow someone the authority to solemnize weddings.
If you're looking for people to do it, you'll probably want to check with some of the larger organizations. Witchvox.com might have some folks, though you might be able to get some info from adf.org or keltria.org.

that was a jerk of an answer....
but if you want to be married by the druids check first to see if the state will recognize it as a legally binding marriage not just a temporary one. you can get a ton of info online or go and talk to them personally and express your interest to them. im sure they'll be more then happy to help.
