Tell him! Communication is the key to any relationship, be it a friendship or romantic relationship.
He also might be scared. Getting rejected in text is a lot easier to deal with than hearing your voice say it. He might be able to get up the guts to text you, but not call you. Just talk to him and tell him that you don't like it. If he keeps at it after telling him not too, then just don't answer him anymore.

Um....maybe just tell him? Do you think you might be making more of an issue out of this than it is? If you don't have the communication skills to talk to him about something like this, what kind of relationship do you expect to have? Maybe he just thinks it's polite to have a little dialog before asking you out. Jeez, just tell him you like getting to the point. If that screws things up, then it's not that serious anyway.

Insist that he calls you on the phone. Tell him you need more advance notice.
Maybe he sends multiple messages because he could be shy and needs to warm up to his invitation. He is nervous and trying to be polite?
BTW....are ALL his invitations short notice? Maybe he is married or has another relationship and he is messaging and meeting you on the sly. Watch out for clues.
Good Luck.

UH ... well if you can't even communicate effectively with this person, that should be a CLEAR indicator of where the relationship can end up. Now, my second thought is .. what the hell does this question have to do with weddings?!?

It sounds like he's unsure on how to approach you. You are use to men in the U.S. who gets right to the point but you have to remember different culture, different way of living and being raised. Be patient if you like this guy. Sounds like he likes you.

Maybe he's not sure of how to ask someone out in your country and feels maybe he should warm up to the question...who knows. Don't look into it too much...at least he's asking you out.

Why don't you ask him? Perhaps he is shy and does not want to offend you by being too forceful?
