I am getting married April 28 and I have all the invatations done already..... I put the RSVP date on them for April 1st. Should I send them out the middle of feb so that gives them six weeks from the rsvp date or am I suppose to give them six weeks from the actual wedding date?

4-6 weeks is the average time to send out invitations. Congrats!

Hi. I plan weddings in Florida. Your invites should go out six weeks prior to the wedding, not the RSVP date. You do not want to do it so early because your guests can (and will) sometimes forget to attend. It's best to give it six weeks from the actual wedding date, in your case mid March. Congrats!

6-8 weeks before your wedding date is when you are supposed to send them out. But remember that when you send them out too early your guests are more likely to forget or even misplace the invitation. Also remember to calculate any holidays when the post office may be closed. I say 8 weeks and you will be fine. Also send one to yourself just to see when you get it and to see how it looks being put through the mail. It's fun too!

Yep, you usually send them out 8 weeks before your wedding date, so mid feb would be good for you to send.

Its getting close! Good luck!!!!

thats weird my best friends, mom's wedding is on the 28th but........back to the question. You are supposed to send them out six weeks before the wedding, because if you send them out to early, not to be rude or anything, but, people might forget to attend the wedding, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the big day!

My wedding is on May 5th, and I'll be sending mine out no later than February 19th. Oh man, you just reminded me...I have to make copies of the directions to the church. Thanks!

I'd send them out now, the sooner the better.
