Depends on the time of year. If it is spring, you could just have something causal like what you would wear to church. If it is really hot, then maybe just lighter clothes esp. for the kids, so they aren't uncomfortable. My hubby and I got married in July in a small church. He had a suit on but with a plain shirt and no tie and I had a simple straight dress and the girls and I didn't wear shoes. We had his 4 kids in our wedding. The boys wore khakis and blue shirts. It was simple but nice. We also had had picked wildflowers as the bouquets.

I love the look of White Linen. Its a very romantic and comfortable way to be cool, sophisticated but not extremely dressy. Also, its easy to find some beautifully made linen dresses. Make a statement with a gret pair of earrings or a necklace. He can even wear linen pants (I suggest a muted kahki or beige to balance your white) and a nice shirt - no tie.

Think Cool, and Sohpisticated without trying....

Wear a pretty soft-flowing dress (any length is fine), and your husband-to-be can wear some nice slacks and a dress shirt with or without a tie. Have the kids wear comfortable clothes, just not blue jeans.

It all depends on the time of the year you get married...

But I am planning a summer wedding and my fiance will be wearing loose clothing... more like a guayabera... and I will be wearing a nice spring/summerish dress... like I said it all depends on the time of the year and weather...

Good luck... feel free to email me with more questions or thoughts... maybe we can exhange ideas!

I don't mean to sound rude, but what will make this cook out any different from any other cookout?
It's your wedding, wear whatever you want, a ball gown or blue jeans, it's up to you.

Wear whatever you are comfortable with, if you want it to be a little but formal you can were a nice dress and he can wear a suit, you can do a blue jean wedding and both wear jeans or a shorts or swimsuit wedding, whatever you want, its your wedding, you can wear gorrilla suits if you want, just be happy.

Hawaiian clothing... Flowered print shirts, you can wear a mumu or a pretty skirt with flowers in your hair. Then you and your husband can have margaritas or something in your coconut cups and your kids can have virgin margaritas in their coconut cups. NOBBIES is a great place to find stuff like that. Aloha.
