During my wedding planning, I have had a hard time finding exactly what I have been looking for, whether the items were too highly priced or just not the style or look that I had envisioned.

Very frustrating...

SO, I decided to make some of the items for our wedding and it is all turning out great!

I am thinking about starting my own business making wedding items for a low price. This business would offer hand-made, creative, personalized items for your wedding, such as guest books, pen holders, ring pillows, flower girl baskets, and other items that are personalized expecially for your wedding with your wedding colors and style in mind.

You would be able to see samples of all of the different items and choose from a wide variety of colors, styles, and looks.

I am just curious to see if there would be enough interest in this type of business before I get started. I will be posting on several websites.

Thanks in advance for your opinion!
Happy Wedding Planning!

I am a wedding/event planner and I customize items for brides and party goers. It is very seldom that a bride will not want an accessory that does not compliment her wedding theme or personality. It's a plus to have everything in line with one another. It's a great business venture. Best Wishes.

I think that sounds like an awesome idea. BUT I would price it out before, I think alot of the reasons that hand made invites are so expensive is because the materials and the time involved get to be pretty pricey. You have to have the incentive to do them and make a profit. But if you can find a way to do it on the cheap, go for it!

That would be cute. A lot of brides want to save money by doing it themselves, but soon find they don't have the time or the skills. So much wedding stuff is both overpriced and very cheap looking. Or extremely expensive. A happy medium would be nice

I'm not getting married any time soon but I would seriously consider personalization of items at my wedding. I think it is a great idea as people often have specifics in mind but can't find them or don't have the time/resources/money to make them themselves. I think you should go for it, good luck =)

Heck yes. I cant find anything either. Another idea for you... is stuff for a jack and jill bridal shower. I cant find a single thing! I know tons of people that do the bridal shower together... :) I think its awesome... everything for weddings are super expensive too.. so that would help us people out on a budget. I love the idea.

I know a few people who run wedding businesses - invitaion designers and wedding planners. know that it can very easily overwhelm your schedule and that other brides will be much more demanding and hard to understand than you were! maybe best to start small and see how you like it? word of mouth is the best advertising by far anyways. good luck!

As a father of a daughter it is customary for the father of the bride to pay for the wedding .I would use this service only if I could see handmade samples and they were not ugly or tacky .this would be an event that you dont get a second chance at

YES! but I'm not getting married anytime soon, and I'm a cheap bastard so I probably wouldn't give you a very good price for your goods.
