His parents are deceased and we dont' have much money in the bank. My parents are pretty well off and have no problem paying for the entire wedding. However I want a huge over the top wedding I always dreamed of a huge wedding. However due to the fact that my soon to be spouce has no parents to help cover the cost an we dont' have much money, should I downgrade my dream wedding? Or should we wait a few years and save money so I can have that huge wedding? Or should I put some stuff on a credit card? Or should i have my parents pay for every thing and we will cover the cost of the honeymoon. By Fiance wants a small wedding because he feels bad because he won't be paying for harldy any thing, and does not want my parents paying for every thing. Yet we have no money to pay for stuff.HELP!!

The wedding will be in MN !

I had my bachelor party last weekend and my best friend showed up the next day with a camera in hand and showed all the photos to my fiance while explaining the nights events. Though most of the night was uneventful, there were four photos where the best man had arranged for a waitress or random girls to sit on my lap or sit next to me while a picture was taken. In the last photo, as we stood up to leave, the waitress gave me a kiss on the cheek and a hug. These photos were not well received by my fiance' and she is now threatening to postpone the wedding. I had no intention of hurting her and have been surprised with how much my actions have caused her grief. I have apologized to her for hurting her but it hasn't helped. Her father was at the bachelor party and from confirmed to her that the photos were innocent fun. Any advice on how to convince my fiance' that it was innocent bachelor party fun and not what to expect in the future?

I'm getting married possibly late this year, or early next. We want a Calamity Jane theme to our wedding, but I have no idea how to go about getting a dress (I'm after similar to the one Calamity wears to the dance), so obviously even if I find a dressmaker, there's no pattern to work with. Has anyone got any ideas?
We won't have a lot of money, but as this is second time around for both of us, we want to make a special thing of it, but not necessarily in the traditional way. All advice would be welcomed. I'm in the South East of England.

I am planning a wedding and don't want to include a close friend as a bridesmaid because of her weight. I know that sounds horrible but she is morbidly obese and is closing in 450 pounds. Is is too selfish to not want to include her because I want the focus to be on me and not what one of my bridesmaids look like in their dress? She is a great person, but people people always staring and commenting when we go in public and I know it will be the focus of the wedding party pictures. I am considering not having any bridesmaids, I don't want to do that, but can't come up with a way not to hurt her feelings. I know a lot of people will think i'm a horrible person, so save your responses. Some helpful thoughts would be nice.

My family and friends have told me (the bride) to do a dollar dance. I have told them I don't really want to. They said that I should at least have a money tree, then. We are having around 50 guests (only family and about 6 extremely close friends), but it will be an expensive wedding at the Marriot. We can afford it and do not need this money to help "pay" for it. I have seen other questions about the money tree on here that have said if it looks expensive then having either of these looks really bad. Well, here are my questions: Are either of these bad to have at an elegant wedding? If I have a dollar dance, how do I dance with these people? We are not having any kids at our wedding. I don't like to fast dance, but I don't know that I would feel comfortable having his uncles' arms around me. It just seems like it would be weird and make me feel uncomfortable. Is this just nerves? Did you have a dollar dance and feel weird about it, but it turned out better thanyou thought?

My family is Italian (I'm 1/2). I would like to incorporate as much Italian traditions as possible. Any ideas? Also, any ideas for an Italian theme/decorations? Where I live there are not many Italians, so I don't want people to think my wedding is wierd (for example - if I had a money bag at the reception, no one where I live would know to put money in it). I want to incorporate some traditions and decoration-type things.

I've been looking at rings, out of curiosity. I was wondering about what the measurements of diamonds typically are. That way I could compare them to my finger size and get an idea of what I like. I've been unable to find a guide online. Just a general idea would be helpful.

Like 1/2ct. - __ x __ in.
1 ct. - __ x __ in.
1.5 ct....etc...etc...etc...

This is PURE curiosity btw.

Thanks!

I am currently 3 months pregnant with our first child and my boyfriend has just asked me to marry him. We want so much to do this the right way. Should we get married before the baby is born or wait until afterwards?
It is all confusing to me. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. I would also appreciate any suggestions that you may have.

Does anyone know of a fun unique way to be announced at a wedding reception. Has anyone been to a wedding where they wedding party and bride and groom were announced really fun or neat. For example I was at a wedding where the party came in wearing sunglasses and the DJ played a song by the blues brothers. it was fun, neat and got the guests ready to have a great time. Thanks for your help.
