You should cook her a favorite meal and set candles everywhere and rose peddles and roses everywhere. Play some nice soft music and just have a special night. The best times are when its just the two of you. Get her a puppy or a kitten and put the ring on a bow around their neck. Then pop the question. The best proposals are the ones that are simple and romantic.

I do think the dolphin thing would be very hard to arrange, animals are unpredictable and even though they are highly trained I don't think that would work out successfully. The mountain idea is great, but can you guarantee snow? Not always.

I've always thought that it's a good idea to get engaged in the morning, then you've got the whole day to celebrate, how about arranging a really nice breakfast, good coffee, some danish pastries, strawberries etc, then propose and crack open a bottle of champagne.

The dolphin idea is a bit risky.

Where you had your first date
During a walk at sunset on a beautiful beach
On top of the Statue of Liberty
Take her to an expensive hotel for the weekend, get room service and nice champagne and propose in the privacy of your suite

I don't think you can get a dolphin to bring anyone a ring...buy I'm giving you points for trying to think of something special! We jsut got engaged this weekend, and my fave part of the proposal was that he put alot of thought and planning into it...she will tell the story thousands of times for the rest of her life...not to scare you, but that's just how it is.

We got engaged at a winery and the proposal was written on the label...the staff was all in on it and I was shocked--they popped some champagne for us and all--what a wonderful memory I have!

What about a holiday in Vegas, take the helicopter Grand Canyon trip and propose right in the middle of the Canyon? Perhaps the Americans think it's all been done before, don't know but you us in UK it sounds awesome!!!

Couple ideas:

Maybe reenact your first date. Or do something, or find out, what her most favorite thing to do is and spend a night doing that. You also don't have to do some over the top, expensive thing, simply cook her favorite meal yourself and serve a nice romantic dinner for just the two of you.

Good luck to the both of you!

My husband had a good idea, he was going to put my favorite flowers in a trail leading to the park and then he'd be hiding at the end of the trail on one knee. I thought it was a cute idea! He went another route but I liked that idea the best from the ones he had.
Good Luck!

Since you like dolphins you should purpose next to the porpoise!

you mean propose, and i'm sure wherever you decide will be romantic, but go for a nice picnic and pop the ring into a napkin or something like that
