I can tell you what NOT to do.... I was at one wedding where they had to come down a flight of spiral stairs and the bridemaids had strapless dresses.... they were all dancing to HOT HOT HOT and acting like nuts and some of the girl's "girls" were pretty close to falling out. Luckly, none of them pop out but I think some the older guest almost had a heart attack.

I used to work for a DJ and one couple got the Chicago Bulls announcer to announce their wedding party to the the Bulls entro theme. It was pretty cool!
Another friend of mine had her DJ announce the wedding party and they all did the stroll while walking in..the bridal parting forming a line on each side and then the bride and groom walked down between them to the song from Happy Days...hey, it was kinda cheesy, but everyone loved it...and they all knew the song!

At the last wedding I went to the groomsmen and the groom ran in to the tune of Men of Black with fake plastic machine guns... the women came in with big colorful wigs on (except the bride) to the the song of Lady Marmalade.
At mine- my fiance wants to run in to the tune of "are you ready for some Football?" tossing one back and forth to each other. I thought it was cheesy, but he thinks it is cool.
I guess with me, it really doesnt matter what songs play as long as in the end I am sitting next to my new husband and surrounded by family and friends

You could pick a song to represent each couple (bridesmaid/groomsmen) or each person individually and have them enter to it. Was at wedding like this and it was a ton of fun! The couple entered to 'highway to hell' by Ac/dc and everyone laughed.
Pick a line out of a song that represents that person and have the DJ ready and cued up so he introduces the person, hits play and everyone gets it right away. Too fun!

I was at a wedding where the wedding party broke through a banner, like they do at football games and the song was the University of Nebraska's fight song. It was awesome.

Good question. I am looking for something different, too.
I hate the whole, "Let's get ready to rumble" intro. It's a wedding, you're introducing the HAPPY newlyweds. Who's fighting?

I guess it depends on your tastes and history...is there a song that is important to you that you want played? Is there an inside joke that most family and friends already know about one of both of you? (That isn't offensive, of course!). My fiance is a huge sports fan, so he talked about having us all run in to his favorite college teams' fight song...I would do it if he wanted to, even though it is super cheesy! It's all about your personality...are you stale or do you like to have fun!

The bridesmaids and the groomsmen walked into "Going to the Chapel" and then when my husband and I came through, we switched the music to "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash! Everyone was cracking up...

We had a very unique one. We just walked in and had a seat with everyone else and didn't make every suffer through the introductions.
It just pays to ego and a lot of people hate the intros. Everyone at the wedding already knows you.

My best friend was introduced to the theme of the muppet show. Definitely different, but everyone had fun.
