My Neice had a crazy hay rack ride on a flat bed trailer just a few weeks ago , and the weather was getting cold and windy., I had the vasiline on the steering wheel, baby powder in the heater vents and the radio turned up full blast, and then the rear end of the truck jacked up just enough so it would not move.

Like I had asked before I am getting married with my boyfriend. I hadn't told my parents about it and today while I was getting ready for work they asked for a family talk..(me19yrs, brother 16yrs, sister 12yrs.) and they announced that they were going to throw a big party for the wedding of their dreams next summer!!!! exactly when I was planned t marry!!!

Any ideas for a 50's style wedding? I already have the dress...I'm talking about wedding favors, activities (other than dancing - we (and our families) don't dance so we're not having any), invitations, decorations ect. He wont tell his family cos they may think its to quick,we met in march,engaged in may,This is now dec and they still dont know !!!everytime i go to his parents house,i ave to take my ring off cos i dont want them asking me things,he keeps saying in time we will tell them , one of my mates says he is not proud of me? not sure wat to think now?

I live in US and my brother lives in England. He just bought a house and is getting married next year.
I am not sure if I will be able to go to his wedding.

I was planning to give him a gift certificate for some furniture or appliance store in England (close to London and Milton Keynes).

As a bartender, I've attended hundreds of weddings. My favourite was held on a VERY hot day, and the multi-level cake began to lean, and lean a little more, and a little more, and then the top fell off. There was a sugar ornament of a bride and groom on top, and the groom's head broke off! We spent twenty minutes trying to find it!

it's a long story. I'm the youngest of my mother's four children. My Mother's husband (mike) is the father of my older siblings. my mother began an adulterous relationship which lead to my conception. at the time both my mother and father were married to other ppl. Throughout mom and mike's relationship, mike would constantly abuse, and cheat on her. after she had me, she wanted desperately to leave mike and be with my father, but he was still technically married to his own wife. the years went by and my mom and mike tried to patch up the relationship. not wanting me to be shunned, my mother had mike sign my birth certificate and thus i have his last name. i grew up thinking that mike was my father but constantly visited with the mysterious 'secret uncle' who was later revealed to be my bio father. somewhere around my teens mike abandoned the family, and started abusing everyone. he became a deadbeat leaving me more hurt then i've ever been in my whole life. Then I met my bio dad.

I am marrying my ex-husband whom is also my best friend again in October 2007. We are not looking to spend a lot of money - just share with our family and friends our love for each other. My ex has recently adopted my daughter(whom is from a relationship I had while we were divorced) and we want to share our new life as a complete family. The problem that I am having is that my mother wants to know why we are just not getting married by a JP and then going to a restaurant to celebrate. We have decided that we want a wedding - A halloween party in reality. Is this wrong? should we just be traditionally low keying our marriage?

I am going to get married next September and are planning to have a somewhat traditional Mexican wedding with some minor differences. My fiancee and I plan to buy our wedding rings and have the "padrinos de anillos" present the rings at the alter. We were planning on asking his brother and sister-in-law. My godmother called my mom saying they way want to give me the wedding rings. I want to say no but my parents insist that it wouldn't be right to say no because their feelings would be hurt. There's another catch to the story, back in the 80's my godfather "mishandled" some of my dad's money. We think he stole it but since no one wants to bring it up its always been an issue. I don't know if they really want to give me the rings because I am their goddaughter or because they want to "pay back" some of that money in a sense. I really don't know what to do. I just want to be able to pick my own rings. I wouldn't want to look at them knowing there's that story behind it...
