Hate my daughters choice of men, he is much older and has been mind controling her, mentally abusing her and cheating on her and she is stupid enough to marry him anyway? He wants her for her paycheck and because she is subservient to him. I have screamed at her that she has become his doormat and she still stays with him. I just don't get it and for the life of me. I don't see going to this wedding when I would want to say YES their is a reason you shouldn't be married and probably would say it.

And no I didn't teach her that.

i probably should have mentioned this. my sister knows that he cheated and so does the rest of my family. he lies a lot and even got kicked out of the army because he fell asleep on duty. he also got his license suspended but didnt tell anyone. when they were moving... he got pulled over for reckless driving and got put in jail. bail was 2000. they didnt have any money so we had to pay. he just seems like such a loser. i do want to support... but how can i when its just going to end badly. but i do think that some of you are right and should try my best to support her

my sisters getting married and her fiancé is a jerk. he messed around with my other sister while he was dating his "now" fiancé. he embarrassed her (my other sister) in front of all her friends by undoing her bathing suit top and describing in DETAIL what they did together. anyways... shes asked me to be her maid of honor. i dont want to say no because shes my sister, but by saying yes, would it be saying that i think its Ok to marry him. my other sister says i shouldnt but im not sure. either way ill be disappointing someone.she just moved away to take care of his grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and i have a feeling that shes only doing this to get away from my dad.

I always said I didn't care if it was cheap or expensive...as long as I found a dress I loved!!!! Well it just so happens the one that I love (seriously...I'm in love w/ it haha)...is quite expensive.

When you buy expensive dresses, do they just expect you to have to money up front...do you pay payments, put it on credit...what???

My Fiance and I broke our engagment about three months ago, I had kissed another man at a bar and begged for forgiveness and he cannot get past this right now. I have been seeing him and been intimate becuase of guilt and personal satifaction as well, but when I dont see him, I feel so torn apart. My father keeps bitchin at me about how my fiance isn't going to make enough money to support me when we get married, and how he has no job security because their isn't a union for his job. And he keeps telling me that i shouldn't marry him because I will lose my SSI (I am disabled and can't work so I am on disability) I know money is going to be tight but we should be ok. So there's this man I'm interested in. I was told in a dream he and I will someday marry. I was skeptical, so I asked God to show me a sign yes or no. I prayed first, then closed my eyes, opened up a brand-new magazine I had not read yet, and put my finger down on whatever page was there. When I opened my eyes, it was a picture of nothing but engagement rings. Just diamond engagement rings and nothing else. I want to know your opinion. Do you think that was a sign, or is this all my imagination?

P.S. - the magazine is not a bridal one and now I see there are no other rings or wedding things in the entire magazine. It was an Oprah magazine.
