If so, did you get a response? I heard that his office sends a letter of congratulations. I sent an invitation, but haven't gotten a letter yet. Was it just a rumor?

I did this and did get a response with a nice card and picture signed.
We also sent them with the birth of our children.
They each have a card from the President in their baby books.
My husband was in the military during desert storm, sent a card...collectors card with the President on it visiting the soldiers and he received a Photo signed in return with the card signed too.
Kinda cool.

Not a rumor...you will get a letter of congrats!! It will be hand signed too...just give it some time. I'm sure that things are a little crazy because if the holidays, but you will get a letter closer to your wedding date...

i don't know about that , but i sent christmas cards to the white house on two different years and administrations, and got a card back each time. keep checking the mail.

I didn't do it personally, but I have heard the same thing. I'm not sure if it's a rumor or not.

yes they will send a letter of cangratulations to you but it might not be before your wedding, it takes awhile to get them.
