I'm a former military girl myself and am now married to an active duty member. Speaking from experience, yes it's more likely to have a military man OR WOMAN cheat. I think any job where a person is away from their spouse for long periods of time, one or both may want that physical intimasy and cross the line and/or break their vows. BUT, if you have a strong relationship, that's full of trust, love ect., there shouldn't be any crossing-over-the-line. Many military people feel that they do have that trust, but sometimes the civilian spouses just can't handle it. When you are away from each other for months at a time, it can get rough. But don't spend all the time worrying about it. Just know you need to be strong and faithful and have a good friendship; not just good in the 'sack'.
I think that when a civilian is going to marry a military member, they should know all the pros and cons of what they're getting into. When you marry a soldier, sailor or airman, you're also marrying the government. It sucks but it also makes people very tight in their marriages. It's really kind of a make-or-break deal.
Good luck!
PS - Yes, YOU CAN be kicked out for adultery.
Check the U.C.M.J.(Uniform Code of Military Justice) Article 134 states that adultery is prohibited. Maximum punishment: ***Bad-conduct discharge***(ie., kicked out!) plus confinement for 6 months, and forfeiture of two-thirds pay per month for 6 months.
***This is what military members can get for cheating on their spouses.

Well my husband is in the military and he has seen military men and women both cheat on their spouse. It makes him really worry about our relationship. He usually calls me all the time because he wants me to rest assure that he is not cheating on me and I am always in his thoughts. We have lots of single friends in the military and they say the same thing. They see cheating a lot, but I hope it's not the majority. It takes a strong relationship to survive the military. A very deep trust. At the same time I have seen the rumor of one or the other cheating split military families up, and neither may had done a thing. That's what happened to a friend of mines marriage. Wasn't until years later they sorted it out and found out that neither one had had an affair but they both had been told by others that the other had. If you are a part of a military family, tell each other you love one another and don't jump to the conclusion of the other is cheating. It's hard to trust one another when you are apart so much. I know, because I have to trust my husband all the time to be away from me somewhere where I would have no idea what he was doing.

Well it all depends on the man, any man can cheat, in whatever job. Military men cane cheat the same as men who work in an office all day. It depends on your man. I will tell you this though, a man who cheats in the service will pay the price. These men are a simbol of our country and cheating on your husband or wife is an offence in the eyes of the military. Thety can lose rank and even in some case do time. Any man can cheat, but a man in the service will pay in some way.

Military men are no better or worse than any other men in this category, but because military men are more likely to be separated from their families for long periods of time, the divorce rate in the military is much higher than for non military.

Yes, I do.
Do I think ALL military men fool around? NO.
Its the same for everybody, Military or Non- some will cheat, some won't.
It depends on the loyalty, honesty, love, commitment, integrity & morality of each person in question.

Not all men are like that. Military or civilian. And they dont get kicked out of the service for it , either. My husband is in the USAF and is the most dependable, reliable, faithful man I've ever met. My father was a seaman and cheated. However, both my brother-in-laws are totally faithful also.

I think they probably do fool around in about the same proportion as non-military men do. I'm just not sure of that statistic.

well I think that it just depends on the person. because even though they can be thrown out of the military. that only if they dont get caught in it. I should know my dad was in the military. and I saw my dad fool around on my mom.

I think military wives cheat more then the men do. Well, not all of us. I love my marine and I would never to that to him.

Yes. hahaha. But not me. I would never fool around anywhere near my wife. Hahaha. Just kidding. That was a play on words. Get it? Anyhow, I wouldn't, but I think it's probably not that hard because there's a lot of people (not just men) that fear dying soon (wars) and see someone else that they wanna pass their genes on with really quick before they die so maybe, even if it's just subconciously.
