Weddings - December 2006

I met this girl of my life a year ago from another country, we got very close and she suggested that we get engaged.

And we did so in 6 months after we first got together. Everyone in my world was informed of this 'fabulous' piece of news.

She went back to her home country soon after. Her father objected our relationship. She asked me to wait while she tries to persuade Daddy. I agreed.

I visited her in the 10th month and we had great fun. A year passed since we are together, I made a few mistakes that pissed her off, but I was deeply and sincerely apologetic to that. (I was faithful throughout)

She recently told me that she seriously thought about us. She felt that she likes me, but she is not sure if she loves me. She admitted sometimes think about her ex. She added that she wanted to call her ex but she did not do so, because she still has me. She apologised for being so selfish. I told her I still love her. Should I go on? She still have feelings for me..

i want to keep it simple and reserved. my boyfriend and me doesnt have too much money but it doesn't mean we have to choose for a cheap-look wedding. i want to make it in a resort cuz i love the beach and as i live in the dominican, beaches here are pretty cute. That could means that it will be during the day cuz at night im gonna have a big suprised for my future husband (ie. A very Special Dinner).... so what kind of dress would i have to wear? what kind of decoration, food, apperitizers should i have to prepare??? I was thinking of - as soon i know about designing - to prepare the flowers bucket and invitations myself. can you help me? Im getting married within 6 months, So i guess i dont have too much time.

Heres the story , at first my very close friend was going to have a big wedding and I was one of the bridesmaids, then she changed her mind and the wedding is in Vegas and she did not pick me to be one. I really did not care but I am annoyed by the fact that she pick a childhood friend of hers that she barely talks to. She and I speak on a regular basis, she calls me everyday asking me my opinion about things regarding it , has me get on the computer to look at the chapels, wedding dress, bouquet, resturants, etc. I am quite exhausted listening to her we do not live in the same city and we dont use the same cell company so this also costing me money!! Everytime she calls I think to myself where the **** is her bridesmaids??? She also picked her sister( which I told she should do) and a girl she hasnt known for quite three yrs. yet b/c she feels obligated b/c the girl is giving her an engagment party. Should I say something ? Im just annoyed not pissed? I have a dress to wear already!

Ok, I have two best friends. Sarah-my best friend from high school. We slightly drifted apart in college, & she joined a sorority & that was her main 'friends for the past 2 years. She kinda forgot me.Well, we have become extremly close again over the past year & 1/2, even closer than before.

Melissa-friend from a job that I had in high school. I always told her she would be my maid of honor. We have never drifted apart & we have always had this super close connection. She has never forgotten me & but is away at college. Well, I wanted melissa, but she is so far away & busy she cant really help me like I need it.

Sarah is all about the wedding planning. She has already helped me pick out a dress & is there for everything I need. I havent officially asked anyone yet, but both would be hurt if i choosed the other. Relationship-wise, id pick melissa. I love sarah equally, we just drifted apart at one point, & i feel like that would never happen w/melissa. who should i choose

My boyfriends family was visiting for the holidays and we exchanged presents in front of the tree in the lving room, we were private... but no one even asked what did you get or asked him neither...Is that normal? My house would of been asking and happy and showing eachother? Am I wrong? Does this mean they don;t care?
Or are they really minding their own Business?

so I just got engaged a few weeks! We are getting enagement pics done any time now. WE are not planning to get married for another 2 1/2 years. I ahve been engaged for a while, My fiance and i plan to get married in 2008... my fiance lives with his mother for now..but she is always trying to spilt us up all the time and trys to not let us see eachother.. my xmas sucked yesterday cuz she tried keeping him home.. well hes trying to be good cuz hes trying to get his name in his truck..so i havent seen him over a week and i was supos eto see him yesterday and she wouldnt let him leave and when he was on the phoen with me.. she tried getting him off of it.. my fianbce is like 19 and im almost 18.. weve been toegther for a long while. but his mother has always been controling over him.. i love him alot and i no longer want to continue fighting with his mother and im not really wnating her at our wedding cuz i can see her ruining it. what should i do?

I am getting married with the man I love. we plan to married the summer of 2007, But the problem is he wants to stay with me in my parents house. for the first year of marriage. because we ganna spend a lot of many in the wedding day. my parent seems to agree with it. because they don't have nobody except me. and they ganna have an empty room. my BF tell me rather paying thousand of Dallars. in apartement now.. why don't we stay with ur parents. and helped them with same money.. until we saved money and get our apartment. becouse we are young.. and I pay for my school... But I don't.know..do u guys think its great idea. for young people??!!

what is a job someone can occupy? this someone is very important to the groom, but the groom already has all his groomsmen and 2 best men, this person is more important thatn just being an usher and does not have musical abilities. also the bride and groom do not want readings. what can this important individual do during the ceremony? ideas?
