after all you know they will jack up the price once they hear the word wedding...... I want something nice but not over the top, and I don't want to over pay for anything...
I look at catering menu's and they are nice and resonably priced but then you go to another page with pretty much the same food and the prices are inflated by up to 30-50%

My daughter is a sophmore in high school, and is 1st chair in flute in her school band. Her music teacher got her a gig playing Christmas songs at a local church, and they really liked her. I was surprised when they paid her! The pastor asked if my daughter would be available for other services and weddings.

My question is, how much do solo performers normally charge for weddings? No one on the internet will post their price.

I think it's disrespectful wearing white on your wedding day when you're not even a virgin...

Yeah, so 99% of people have premarital sex.

But white represents PURITY... and those nonvirgins who wear white on their wedding day are pretty much bashing the real PURE women. I don't think they should have the privilege to wear white. It's like the symbol is not even important anymore.

What happened to society? And things like promoting protection (that's not even 100%) instead of abstinence (which IS 100%)?

Anyone else agree with me?

My brother and his wife are putting together a printed "Wedding Program" for their wedding. On the program, one page is titled "Wedding Party", and then has subheadings such as Parents of the Bride, Maid of Honor, Best Man, etc.
My mom passed away 4 years ago. My dad remarried. So, what should the subheading be for my dad and his wife? Parents of the Groom? Something else? And how should my dad and his wife be listed?

Currently, they have written "Parents of the Groom" and underneath have put:
Bob Smith and the late Mary Smith.

Is this correct, or should they take into consideration that my dad has remarried and, if so, how should my dad and his wife be listed? As an example, my dad's name is Bob Smith and his current wife is Anne Jones (name before getting married to my father).

I recently got engaged to the most wonderful person I have ever met. I'm truly blessed. We are, however, starting to plan the wedding, and I'm very confused as to what a realistic budget is. We are planning a guest list of approximately 90 people. We live in a town of about 25, 000 and plan to have the ceremony in a park here in town. I was just curious what a realistic budget for a wedding of this size should be. Any suggestions??? We are paying for this ourselves, and its the first marriage for both of us.

Whenever there is a holiday, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, birthdays, etc, my son is rarely if ever invited over. Yet, they took him on vacation with him for a week a few months back and allowed them to share the same room, (albeit 2 different beds)
I would not have permitted this. Anyway, her mom and dad argue a lot over when and if my son can come over. Yet, the mother always asks my son to do her favors, (pick up her daughter, pick up things at the store) etc and my son feels frustrated and confused. He is not invited for Christmas eve due to the mother saying no even though the father said yes. Any suggestions on how he can handle this? The girlfriend also feels frustrated. He is 18 and she is 16. They are going steady for over a year. Thanks.
