Call your county clerk's office and see who can legally perform a wedding cerremony in your area - a religious minister, a justice of the peace, a friend ordained on the Internet, etc. Then ask where it's legal to have a ceremony. You could try a public park, a hall, a religious building, a family member's yard, etc. You could also have a civil ceremony at town hall, then create your own ceremony where you want and officiated by whoever you want. Since you would be already legally married, it wouldn't matter who officiated it.

There are plenty of places on the Southside of Birmingham, you can easily Google it. The Rucker Place Historic Home is an absolutly gorgeous place to hold a wedding and reception. A friend of mine had her wedding there including over 100 attendees. Good Luck!

You might want to call local colleges, universities, seminaries that have chapels. If you, your future spouse, or a family member happens to be alumni, you might get an even better deal.
