Hey!

I was wondering how much time before my wedding should I have my dress pressed? I have one month till the wedding and just got my dress. It fits perfectly, so the only alteration I would need is the bustle. I wasn't sure if I needed to have it pressed before or after I go get the bustle done.

Also, where do you go to have it pressed? I'm new at this so I have no idea if it's just a regular dry cleaners or a special place...

Thanks!

Ok. I didn't know how to react when asked this. I got embarassed at first and then my reply was more of "I dont care. You already know I want to marry you". I don't know what to say!! Then I said it didn't matter if we had matching bands or not I just wanted him. My bf is very old fashioned. Never believed in buying a diamond before in his life. IN fact he's been married once and was also with a different girl at one time for 7 years. Never bought either of them diamonds. He's always thought it stupid to buy diamonds. Not sure how I should be feeling right now. I just like him. So ladies & gents what would you say to a question like this?

My fiance and I are really relexed when it comes to our music. Our DJ doesnt have any of the music we wanted (bob dylan, pink floyd, devendra banhart, stuff like that) so we burnt him a CD to play just that music. Well, my sister is being all anal about the music we want. I gave her a CD of our music we picked, and all she could say was it was weird. I mean, ya its before our time, but thats what we like. Well, She called the DJ, and now is having him mix in all this newer stuff (shakira, brittney spears, nsync type stuff) and my fiance and I honestly hate this stuff and dont want it played at our wedding. What do I say to my sister and now the DJ?? She has it in her mind that our music sucks, and the DJ thinks we only picked that music because we didnt want to offend anyone with our "real" music... but this is OUR music we listen to... im really frustrated.
Any songs that I could possibly play to make my fiance and the party guest happy?

Thank you everyone

I am making my own invitations for our wedding and am using pocketfolds where part of the pocketfold flaps over the front of the invite. I would like to use wax to seal them shut, but am wondering how I should go about doing that. Once the wax isopened up, will it stick again? Should I use two envelopes so the wax doesn't get ruined in the mail?

My fiance is Jewish and I am an atheist, and we are getting married next year. I am not going to convert to Judaism, so we are going to have to have a civil rather than religious ceremony. However, we want to keep a good balance of the traditions and cultures we have grown up with.
What should we be keeping from each ceremony AND reception, and do you have any advice or pointers as to how to get the best of both worlds (and include everyone)?
Thanks

My two little boys are ringbearers in a wedding this month. The groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with a deep purple vest and a collarless shirt- so no tie, just the black button thing at the neck. The father of the bride and father of the groom are wearing the same tux but with a charcoal/pewter color vest. The bridesmaid dresses are a solid deep purple.

I am opting to buy tuxes for my little boys instead of renting the matching tux. (to save money- the bride suggested this)

The tuxes for my little boys are a classic black tuxedo. I have a vest and tie choice of black or a silver brocade. (the ties are a long tie- not a bow tie, if that matters to you)

So.......
Black vest & tie -or-
Silver vest & tie?

We have a lady that has been working in the ministry for a long time. We want her to perform our wedding ceremony. Problem is the fact that she got her ordination papers many years back and she does not know if they are valid and if they are whether or not they are valid to perform a wedding ceremony.

So, are they valid and can she perform the wedding ceremony? She is a Christian minister.

I am a girl. My bf has told me that we were going to get married someday, but hasn't really proposed yet. I was thinking of asking him. Does anyone know a good song that would go with a proposal? I kinda would like it to be a slow song. Please leave the title and artist(s). Thank You.

Anyone from the Detroit area have any suggestions on a great venue for the ceremony and reception to be held? Something perhaps all inclusive? Something very pretty and not extremely expensive? What about a good place to purchase a gown? Photographer? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

When my boyfriend and I met I told him I never want to get married, but then I didnt know that I could be as happy as I am with him. I want to let him know that I would like to get engaged and married at some point, but not neccessarily now! We are both really in love, but I dont want him to feel like I want him to ask me now! (We are going to his mates wedding in Cyprus next year, that seems like a good time to get engaged haha)
