Anyone from the Detroit area have any suggestions on a great venue for the ceremony and reception to be held? Something perhaps all inclusive? Something very pretty and not extremely expensive? What about a good place to purchase a gown? Photographer? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Live in Southgate - work in Warren - rest of immediate family in Bay City, Clarkston and of course Southgate. But I am open to most any area as long as it's safe and a really pretty, classy place....

Detroit is a big area and you need to be more specific with what area or surrounding burbs you are located in.

Go to downtown Plymouth there is a wedding dress store that I got my dress at and they were really nice in there. I walked in and they asked a price range, then they looked at me and found dresses that they thought would look good on me. It was way better than the experience that I had at David bridal. I wish I could remember the name of the place! I had my wedding in Howell at Chemung Golf club
3125 Golf Club Rd
Howell, MI 48843-9001
(517) 546-7706
It was reasonably prices but the food was absolutely amazing! We had a buffet, with chicken and Filet mi non but people have not stopped talking about the food. Everyone was amazed and gushed over the food. Still to this day people talk about the food at our wedding! Where ever you go make sure that you serve the Michigan salad (dried cherries, walnuts, vinaigrette dressing) Everyone that came from out of town was impressed and it adds a little of Michigan to it. If you have more questions feel free to write me.

Old Saint Mary's Catholic church in downtown Detroit.

There are many places for the reception around there including the Atheneum Suite Hotel it's 4 1/2 stars.

It would be centrally located between southgate and clarkston

Have you checked out any online sites? There are wonderful places mentioned on www.theknot.com.

Go to the community area, find Detroit and you can get links to everything from cakes to flowers.

But I do like Chemung Hills. It is a very pretty course.

If you’ve already made up our minds in which you’re getting married – what’s the query? Are you simply watching for validation? Roostertail is fine. That’s why such a lot of persons have had weddings there. And they're skilled – they understand what they're doing – so why now not believe their employees to handle your detailed day? Castle Farms is fine, however except you’re my direct relative or any one I’m very almost, I’m now not using a whole of nine hours to and out of your marriage ceremony.

Since you have family quite a few places throughout Michigan why not try Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn. I am a wedding vendor in Michigan and we work with the Bavarian Inn almost every weekend. The staff is awesome and prices reasonable. Very beautiful area and lots for your guests to see and do.
