Weddings - August 2006

It seems as though ladies are becoming more inclined today to have small intimate weddings with maybe 30-50 people instead of huge weddings with 100-300 people. I've also noticed that women are tending to want outdoor weddings more now than weddings in a church building. Why is that?

s, then i met her just under 2 years ago. She told me after about 6 months on a drunken night out and i thought nothing of it. Problem is he is still a close family friend and we see him loads (We live together &near her dad) and its driving me crazy. She wants to get married but he would have to be there for her dads sake as no one knows it ever happened! its eating me up inside, she agrees she wouldnt put up with it, so why should i?!?! any advice?

I have been with my boyfriend for a little over a year now. We talk about getting married all the time. We are both in our early 30's & I am not a "princess" who needs some huge rock. But I do want some sort of ring. He keeps telling me we need to save for a house. How do I get my point across that I am not going to wait around much longer if we don't get engaged? He told me the other day that he can also hear my biological clock ticking.

I have asked before but would like more inforamtion on 1 week vacation deals such as - is it kids friendly - not to crouded, group packages, free wedding. There is only going to ba about 10 -15 of us and we want to do this at Christmas. It can be anywhere as long as there are no hurricanes. I would like to fly out of Edmonton, Alberta. Thanks

My sister is getting married for the second time next summer and I don't want to go. The first time she got married I wasn't even invited - she told me at the time that only parents were invited but i have since found this out to be a lie. She has had two other engagements - one wedding cancelled just weeks before (I was invited to that but she didn't want me as a bridesmaid despite her being mine). I don't like her intended husband and I don't think she has learnt from her past mistakes to stop her making the same ones in the future and this time there are kids involved. But not going will cause huge family rows. Should i go and keep the peace or stick to my principals?

Has anyone got married in vegas, and what did you wear? I am planning on going extremely casual, Jeans or Capris and sandals as I was under the impression that anything goes. But I've been looking on some sites and it seems everyone wears wedding dresses. I don't want to feel out of place, any suggestions? There will only be 4 people attending 2 family and 2 close friends.

okay- we are young- im 21 and he is 26- we have a baby, is it tacky to have a wedding on the beach- and reception at a park with everyone bringing pot luvk (although some people are traveling 5 hours)
