You should wear what you want. But I would wear a white dress, it doesn't have to be a wedding dress. I got married at a park overlooking the water here in Florida this past June and my dress came from Dillard's and it was just a knee-length, spaghetti strap white dress with white flip flops. You should think about wearing a dress, not necessarily a wedding dress, with some cute sandals. Or even a white skirt. You might regret it one day if you just wore jeans or capris. Find something comfortable. Good luck!

I live in Vegas and am getting married here and absolutely dress the same way you would to any other wedding. If you wear jeans or Capri's and sandals you will stick out like a sore thumb. Where is she having the ceremony? Call some of the other people that are going and see what they are wearing for an idea. If all else fails call the Bride and ask her if she is going for casual, semi formal or formal. It's better to be the only person overdressed then the only person in jeans. Besides if you are the only person dressed up chalk it up to your great sense of style!!

I got married in Vegas a few weeks ago and wore an apple red bridesmaid dress (very simple, but very pretty) - the white wedding dresses were just a little too fufu for me. I was thinking about going casual, but then decided to dress up a little - it was fun and my husband loved the dress.
You would not be out of place in jeans at one of those Vegas chapels, as there were many people in casual clothing.

I too am having a very casual wedding but not in Vegas. I got my wedding dress from jcpennys on line catalog and it was only 45.00 with shipping. They have a lot of different casual whit dresses. Plus my dad and my step mom got married in Vegas 3 weeks ago and she just wore a simple white dress and my dad wore dress pants and a silk shirt. You do what you feel best wearing, but remember that you will have pictures to remind you of that day and you might regret not wearing a dress.

If you are ok with that, and the place you are getting married matches that formality, then go with it. But remember, this will be the only day that you get married (hopefully), so it might be good to dress it up a little bit, just for memory sake. It takes the same amount of time to throw a dress on as it does to throw jeans and a shirt on. : )

I don't think you'll look and feel out of place as long as you are comfortable with how you look. If you think that 10 years from now you will look back on your wedding pictures and smile, then hey - wear a Halloween costume if you want. Just do what makes you happy.
A small word of caution - tell your guests what you're going to be wearing. You don't want your friends to show up in dresses that upstage you! Good luck!

You can rent a wedding dress there if you change your mind and if you don't want to buy a new one, that would be a good choice.
Trust me, you will regret not having appropiate attitre for your own wedding! You can wear a nice summer dress, but by all means, don't wear jeans!
Congratulations and good luck

I wore a casual clothes. Nine years later I regret it I ruined my big day by going cheap and tacky. I have photos I wont show I had a nice shirt and a nice pair of jeans that's what I wore I very much hate it now, but at the time I was feeling like I saved money.

I bought a cheap white dress to wear at www.discountdressup.com.
Casual is fine.. it is your wedding.. You could also just do a little dressy dress, something you already have. Or there are places in Vegas that RENT dresses.... No need to buy!!
