How much would it typically cost to have a wedding of 100 people in eather a vfw hall, or fire house hall?
Just talking about open bar for a couple hours, renting the place for a few hours.
Not including the food or anything

I am still trying to figure out a nice meal (NOT BAKED CHICKEN) to serve my guests that is filling, pleasing to the eye and not too terribly expensive. I was thinking about having a southern-style menu but really haven't figured that out quite yet- what did you feed your guests? (or will be)

I am dating a black man and he just resently asked me to marry him. My dad and I don't get along very well and havent talked to him in years. So I messed up big time, in the huge stack of cards that I got for my wedding, I was in a rush and did not write down who gave me money in the cards and so I have this huge stack and I need to start on my thank you cards, but I need help on how to word the cards now because I do not know who gave me a monetary gift in the cards and who didnt cause, so I need to think of something to say in all the cards now that is pretty generic cause I dont want to give a thank you card that says thank you for the money when they really didnt...WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?

I was visiting my bride's maid in Canada a few weeks ago and she got brutally offended by a comment I made. She was asking me what sort of shower my mother-in-law would host for me back in New York. My reply was that it was fancier than the traditional showers of lingerie and 'bedroom' paraphernalia. She took my comment to mean that I thought now that I live in American, that I am better than her and that she doesn't need friends who make her feel inferior. That is NOT what I meant at all. All I was trying to say was that my mother-in-law has lived in NY her whole life and she is an older lady with older friends who do 'high-noon- tea instead of slapping a half-naked man's ***. No matter what I say, I can't get my friend to forgive me. She almost withdrew herself as a Bride's Maid. My family is very old-fashioned and very traditional...but I am not. Should I just let it go?? I really miss her and want her to be in NY in October.

I am getting married in 3 weeks and the last few days I have been feeling really uneasy, like having all these what ifs going through my head, how do I know he will be faithful, how do I know it will last forever, I only want to be married once in my life, and I love my fiance more than anything, but I feel scared lately. Is that normal.
We have a great relationship, but I feel like their is a little distance every now and again, but I think its more paronoia on my part then anything. How do I settle these fears.

Get some disposable cameras for the event... One or two per table... Comes in useful for several reasons...
1) For those people who forget their cameras
2) You get additional pictures of the day from different perspectives
3) Can keep little kids amused flashing at everyone
