The cost of the hall itself wouldn't be that expensive. Probably about $500.
The correct estimate for beverages is about $15 per person for 4 hours. Some people won't be drinking, others will be drinking heavily. So most professional go by a $15-20 per guest estimate. So you would be paying around $1,500-2,000 just for the drinks. Add the bartender's wages and a tip (even though he/she will have a tip jar) that's another couple hundred. At the end of the night, if you owed more than what you paid in advance, the bartender will let you know. Expect to spend $3,000 for an open bar just in case. It's better to have more set aside than what you need than to be short at the end of the night.

Hall are normally like $800 depending on your area. The caught is that you need to find a place that will allow you to bring in your own drinks and for the cater- be-careful. Some place you have to use their cater or an approved cater. Not all place let you bring in your own food. Places that let you bring your own food and beverage can actually be more pricey- one place I called was $30 a person to bring in your own stuff so $4,500 for the hall. The place I am having it at is only $9,000 for all the food and they pick up the cost of the hall. and I am doing a 150 people.
Just try pricing it out a couple different ways.

From a friends experience, I know the hall is about $500. You will also need to hire a bartender, about $100 for the night. The alcohol tab for moderate drinkers should be not more than $1500 and not less than $800.

Without knowing where you are, it would be hard to estimate.
Open bars are the most expensive part of reception & the first to go when trying to save money. Having champagne to toast with & a cash bar is becoming popular. We had no alcohol at my daughter's wedding - punch, lemonade & spring water served by waiters. We did not do it to save money but for religious reasons & hurt feelings of religious relatives. They got to drink at rehersal dinner if not non drinkers.
Many use wine & beer only that will save about $30 a person.
My best guess would run from $4000-$6000 depending on carterer. This does not include food.
With no alcohol at my daughter's the reception still cost me & her Dad around $8000 plus the wedding.

i pick extra of a backyard variety wedding ceremony... like at an exceedingly constructive southern plantation, have the marriage cerimony interior the interior mid-day, with the reception outdoors interior the night whilst it cools down. i pick chinese language (or is it jap?) lantern-esque lights with yellow roses and accents of orange with the main color being white. in elementary terms some human beings from the two part of the family members (like 15-25 each and every). and the nutrition would be set up like an stylish buffet. thats all i've got been given so a techniques, yet i think of it will be the suitable wedding ceremony for me (if my destiny husband likes it too).

Hmmm...My friend just got married this past July and here is a breakdown of what they spent:
Guests: 89
Hall Rental for entire day: $550
Alcohol (they brought their own & had gin, a keg, vodka, whiskey, and rum plus sodas, tonoc water, coffee, and botled water $250
They also had the groom's sister and a good friend (who were single and not into dancing) bartend so all it cost them was a couple of thank you gifts.
Nobody went thirsty and everyone had a great time.

The bar tab alone could be several thousand dollars. IF you want to be cost conscience, buy like one keg and the guest pay for everything else (or wine). Unless you don't mind going bankrupt, so your guests can get plastered! Then keep the open bar.

I would say that about $4,000.00 to $5,000.00 depending on the hall that you rent.and the area of town that you are in.It may cost less then that. But i would save up afew thousand just so you will have enough to pay for it. good luck
