Get some disposable cameras for the event... One or two per table... Comes in useful for several reasons...
1) For those people who forget their cameras
2) You get additional pictures of the day from different perspectives
3) Can keep little kids amused flashing at everyone

Anyone found this???

i agree. we had cameras on our reception tables. most of the pictures were no good because the kids were playing with them (hey, you dont have to pay for photos you dont want) but we got some great ones of our guests

Nope.

They are the worst ideas ever.

Of the 400+ pictures my cousin's guests took, only 11 came out as usable.

It's a waste of time, money, and effort. It's assuming that people know what the heck they are doing--at a recent wedding they put 2 per table, and no one touched it. They didn't know if they were supposed to.

1) People who forget their cameras won't be taking home the disposable cameras. You aren't giving them out, and the expense if all on you.

2) If you want a different perspective, ask a friend (ONE FRIEND) to take pictures for you. Ask him/her to use a digital camera. Saves you money.

3) You shouldn't be responsible for developing pictures a 3 year old took of her feet. Think about it: you have to pay for developing. If you really want to occupy the kids, hire a babysitter or have a room off the side reserved for a movie for the kids. Don't just give him a camera and say, "go to town!"

That is a bad idea. I had a friend who did this and the kids got a hold of these cameras and when we developed the photos the ones that actually developed you couldn't tell what you were looking at they were all blury because it was all little kids taking pictures. I think it is a waste of money. What we did was get a couple of people to bring digital cameras and take pictures.

Not a good idea. Most of the guests take the cameras home as party favors.

I was maid of honor in a wedding where they specifically asked everyone to leave the cameras and almost nobody did. It was just sad!!

it's a great suggestion!! Just make sure you keep in mind the cost of developing the cameras and make a note on the camera to use the flash or a lot of pictures won't come out.

You can also use any left over film on your honeymoon. You may not want to take expensive cameras, these work just fine. Just remember to leave some room in the weddng budget for film development.

I didn't bother for my wedding. My sister did the disposable camera thing and people took pictures of there food, a messy table, the floor, etc. All the money she spent getting those pictures developed wasn't worth it at all.

Hey thanks!! Great idea. About to tie the knot and very excited about this idea!! One disadvantage though - I get married in Fiji. The disposable cameras would not be returned!! Ha!Ha! Just kidding!
