Well, I am not a big Vegas fan for marriage, love it to have fun but not for my marriage, so I think if you go somewhere special why not? It's your life right. If you want to do it then every one will just have to deal with it assuming your not just running away from something.

Would i elope ? well i didn't, but i have nothing against it for anyone else.

But this is about you, isn't it?

if you are 15 years old, no, i don't think that is a good answer.

If you are over 21 and not prone to making snap judgments that you regret later, sure. Why not?

somewhere between 15 and 21 - i think you should talk it over with people who know you better than we do. : )

the ages aren't precise - it was just to give you the idea.
How mature are you?
How impulsive are you?

It depends. Are you going to upset either side of the family? Is it worth that? Are you worried about the cost of the wedding? There are beautiful weddings done on a small budget. If that's the case, discuss it with your families.

If eloping is what YOU want to do, and YOU think it's right, it doesn't matter what we think.

Absolutely. If it weren't for my man being afraid of disappointing his mother, we probably would have had a nice ceremony in the Bellagio with maybe 10 or 15 guests max. Had I realized how difficult she would have been to deal with and how much work the wedding would have been, I would have completely done a vegas wedding. Something nice, but basically you make one phone call and you are set up. Less stress, less decisions, less problems.

Yes!! I agree with Vegas.. because that is what we are doing. But even a nice quiet place, somewhere just a small intimate gathering. Today's weddings are too expensive and too much drama. Go for small and save the money for your house!

no...unless you just wanted to be married and didn't want a wedding at all...other than that having a wedding is a celebration of getting married and you're family (or the ones who love you) should be there...just think about what you want and how you feel

Definitely - a lot of women prefer it even. But whatever you feel is truly the right thing to do, you should do it.

no. . .I couldn't get married without my family there. I think that is very important, to be surrounded by your family on one of the most important day of your life.
