Peace, It is haraam to marry someone you are not happy to marry. Unfortunately, this is a cultural aspect in Asia and has nothing to do with Islam. It is better you leave the family and find someone who can help you with Jannah in the hereafter than marrying someone you dont know or dont find attractive.. However, you must consider: - If you run away, where will you stay?Who will look after you? Also, tell the guy you're not attracted to him... Peace

I think you can get married to him against parents' will with one condition: both of you to have a job, otherwise you'll see the bad side of being in love. In my country there is a saying "love goes through the stomach", meaning that no matter how deep the love is, if no money is there, there will be lots of fights cause people get in bad mood and irritated all the time, so reasons for fighting come easily. So, wait for little while, get a job, save little bit for subsistance and then u can marry him, though your parents won't approve it. Higher education would also be great, cause you wouldn't want to do the lower jobs for an entire life, would u?

you should not have to run away to get married. getting married is a serious thing you should really sit down and think about this before you do it. do you really love him and does he really love you? if he really loved you then he would not ask you to run away he would be able to wait till the time is right. good luck!!! do what is right for you and him not what is right for your family.
