My sister would like a party/outing that is low key. For example, everyone going to a spa or manicurist. It will also be at night. Any suggestions?

I am getting married this fall. We had an engagement party shortly after the engagement this past spring. A friend of the brides family is throwing us a shower in a couple of weeks. I found out tonight my Aunt is throwing us another shower later this fall. Another friend of the bridal party is throwing a bridal shower (for girls only). Then the brides aunts are getting together to throw a bridal luncheon (all girls again) a week before the wedding, which people bring gifts too as well. One of my friends from high school is throwing us a stock the bar party which will be very low key where people bring alcohol of some sort or bar ware. So in case you lost count, thats one engagement party, two couples showers, one bridal shower, a bridal luncheon, and a stock the bar party, not to mention the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Is this too much. I feel like it is considering we are inviting the same people over & over. My mom and fiancee keep telling me that it's not a big deal.

If you were to get married and told me I could sing the dance song and pick it out. Wich song would you like most to be sung at your wedding. I'd do anything for love, Meatloaf. I'll be there, The Jackson Five. The blessed Road, Rascal Flatts. Unchained Melody, The Rightious Brothers. Love Me Tender, Elvis. I have to pick one of these songs and I'm going to sing it at a wedding. So I'm taking a poll. The greatest number will be the song I sing.

It is for a friend from my past (20 years ago), we aren't really close anymore, but I still care about her.
I won't be able to attend the wedding, it's in another state, but would like to send a gift. Any ideas?

Why is it that so many people are looking to make money and get gifts out of their wedding? I think its pathetic all the questions about money dances and how to ask for money as a wedding gift. Half my guests at my wedding didn't give anything and I couldn't care less. It was about gaining a husband and person I love more then anything, not about making money off of it or trying to get others to pay for my wedding. Maybe thats why so many marriages fail today. Peopl are more interested in getting out then putting in. Can anyone please tell me why people are so selfish?

I will be getting married in September and have never been sexually active. My soon-to-be husband and I don't want to have children right away so I asked my doctor about birth control pills.

I haven't started taking them and would like to do at the last minute possible. How long can I wait before I take so they can still be effective? What kind of side effects can I experience?

I will be getting married the first week of Sept and don't want to have my period that week! When would be the best time possible?

Thanks!

I am a virgin and will be getting married soon. I keep hearing horror stories about the first time for women. Does it really hurt so much? Do you bleed? What happens?

Also, what kind of birth control pill is the best?

Thanks!

I know an interpreter, but for how long? The entire ceremony and reception? What else should I do to accomodate my friends? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I want to do what is expected and what etiquette dictates to the best of my ability. Will most likely be 95% hearing and a few Deaf individuals. Thanks for your help in advance.

I originally had white and dark red/burgundy, i was going to have bridesmaids in red dresses, and white bouquets then I would have a red bouquet. We are getting married on the beach, so I thought Aqua would look good too- should i just stick with white and red? I want an elegant classy look

I bought a guest book and pen holder with fake white gold rings on it, cause we planned to both have white gold rings. Now he tells me he would actually like a yellow gold ring... My engagement ring is white gold- so I have to have white gold band. Is it going to look bad, or is it against the rules of getting married to have two different colored rings? and if we do- will it look bad with the guest book i got- or will no one notice?

Would I possible contact City Hall about this? BC I know they rent out this building and I've been to 2 receptions there, but do you think that City Hall would have the information about who owns it and how I would go about renting it?

I asked her:"so you would give us a true chance once you know your ready?"

She said:

Yes,if I feel like my feelings are there and its something we can build on, yes i do. but for now I’m not ready to commit to anyone
I have so much **** going that I just want to take it a day at a time. I really just want to concentrate on school and getting my own place. I want to be on my own and fend for myself. That’s been something that I have always wanted to do...

The Groom waited until a week after the invitations were sent out and decided he wasn't ready (after a 3 year engagement) . Gifts from showers have been opened, gifts for the wedding being received daily. What should the Bride do with gifts already received. What's the best way to get her money back for services already paid for? How should they divide what's already opened if it's OVER and they don't plan on working things out or postponing the wedding?

*** IN ADDITION TO MY GIFT OFF HER REGRISTRY***
So i'm really crafty, and my co worker is totally crushed that her family took all of her invitations and she has not a single one left to so anything scrapbookish with, so i decided to do something neat, (well i think it's neat) I took the invitation that she sent to me, and i reduced the size and made two duplicate copies, now heres the plan.

i have the large invitation, and two smaller ones, with the large one i'm putting that one in an 8x10 frame and the background i found some paper that has "i love you" in all sorts of different languages, putting the invitation in there with a copy of her engagement picture, and since there is a 3 hour break between the wedding and the reception, i'm going to try and get a great picture of the two of them to rush over to walgreens and put that one in there too. the two smaller ones i'm doing the same thing, but in 5x7 frame and giving those to her parents and soon to be inlaws..
sound good?
