Our marriage was in front of a judge when I was four months pregnant and a little less than glamorus. We are coming up on five years and I want a 'wedding'. I don't want the gifts and stuff but I want to feel like I am really getting married. My big questions is if it is appropriate to do it at 5 years or should I wait? Second is do I have to do it on my anniversery? What is the protocol for this kind of thing? Our five year is 10/25/07 and I want plenty of time to get it right...

The biggest example of that would be Paul McCartney's wedding to Heather Mills. What a cheapskate!

We want to have a full meal for our guests at our outdoor semi-formal/casual (not too formal, not too casual) wedding reception. Any suggestions? We are on a budget, so nothing too expensive. No alcohol will be served, so we can cut costs there, as well.

Thanks in advance!

It will be outdoors and very classy. Any other suggestions? I'm not a big fan of dark colors. (Burgundy, hunter green, navy.) I appreciate any suggestions!

My fiance and I LOVE the movie "The Notebook" and would love to have some things that remind us of that time period and setting in our wedding.

We want to have it in the country with a country feel (but not gingham check tablecloths and lots of sunflowers). More elegant, but still a country feel. Probably outdoors at sunset, lots of candles, maybe mason jars with candles in them hanging from the trees. My favorite color is blue, especially aqua blue and turquoise.

Any other ideas for how to pull this off, including invitations, attire, decorations, favors, cake, etc. Anything that reminds you of "The Notebook". We don't want to go so far as to quote lines from the movie, but just want the feel of that time and place.

Thank you in advance!

they can afford? My in laws are pushing us to have a big wedding and I object and so does my fiance. We think it is wasteful, tacky and ostentatious.

Im getting married on Novmber 26,2006. I want to know if anyone can recommend a good Dj to play at my wedding and reception. I know I can go to theknot.com or even look them up in the yellow pages, but when you do that. You really don't know how good they are. I went to a wedding two weeks age and the Dj there wasn't good at all. So if anyone can recommend one that play at there wedding. I would greatly appreciate it.

Three huge weddings of close ties I have seen and I have really liked.. but I rather have a simple ceremony with meaningful reminders of our love.. how it began and where it has come to.. so to me a simple meaningful gathering in a small church with a pastor and priest some family and relatives, and college friends will do.. not to mention looking forward to a grand get a way trip.
