It really doesn't matter. As long as if they love me for me.

At this point in my life, I don't want to marry anyone. However, the age difference and how it affects a marriage is really determined by the couple and usually has little to do with the number of years difference. I have a friend whose husband is 15 years younger than she is. They have now been married for almost 30 years, and it has been a good marriage.

I know several women who married men who are 7-8 years younger than themselves and, again, the marriages have been good. And I know of couples where the man is older by a number of years and the marriages have been good. In all cases, the marriages have been based on true love and not age.

I ended up marrying an older guy (he was 30 I was 17) and it was for the best. For me, older men tend to be a)employed b)more grounded c)mostly over that stupid teenage boy phase of having sex with every girl in site (most of the time...they are men and that will never totally dissapear). They also tend to have their own place to live and just be in general more established in their lives.
Now, however, I don't even notice the age difference and neither does anyone else around us. In the end, I found out he was my soul mate and his age probably had the least to do with why I married him.

i married my age the first time, and the next two were 12 years older than me and I hated it because they didn't like the idea of my wanting to be with friends my age, and the problem with older men is that they are very possessive. My current hubby is 3 years younger than me amd I wish I had married closer to my own age of 38.

My wife is younger than me she has spoke about leaving me time and time again but I know she loves me to much to leave me (she has said this to me herself). We have only been married two years this past Tuesday and I really believe deep within myself that she is my one and only true love my soul mate. I'm a 39 year old man before I met her I was still running wild she caused me to settle down some of my Friends still don't believe I'm actually married. It's really all about who you love and I mean really love that's who you marry for some age has a strong factor in whether or not they marry but love alleviates age. I was reading someones answer and they were talking about men being possessive now only speaking for myself I was worried about my wife hanging around Friends her age I thought they were all against our marriage but I had to put trust in our love and they got rid of my insecurities. I'm 39 my wife is 22 and we will be together forever.

I wantedv to marry someone older( a few years not insanely older) who had lived a life, experienced something, seen the world, knew how to save, budget and know what they wanted. I got exactly what I wanted, only 6 years older and have done what he wanted to, was ready to settle down but still live a life of travel with me.

Age is only a number. It's about personality and compatibility.

I prefer older (only a few years)...that doesn't mean I wouldn't marry someone younger
