First off, are you married or maybe an older brother or sister? If yes, did your cousin give you or them a gift. If yes, give something comparable. If she gave generously, then you should to. If she gave a paltry sum to save face, then I say return the favor.

Also, do not feel like you should give more than you can afford. Your family should understand if you are hard up for money at the time and are giving the most you can.

I would say, unless she really stiffed you or a brother or sister, try for at least 100, maybe combine you and your mom/dad/brother/sister, etc together for a family effort. That is only if you can afford it.

In any case, don't stress about it too much. If she gets ticked because you 'didn't send enough' I wouldn't worry about her anyway.

I would say if ur not really close to her 20 is plenty, maybe even a little too much. I always try to access the reception. Depending on where the reception is, decide how much will my meal be worth? Are drinks included? Give enough to cover what you will consume at the reception and maybe 5 bucks more.

Give the same as your mom or a little less like 15 bucks. Or you can buy her something for the house that will cost a lot less like a vase or placemats or something useful. You'll come off quite thoughtful for going out of your way to choose something you think they will need.

It's the thought, not the amount that counts. $20 is fine if that is what you can afford.

My aunt and uncle gave my husband and I a small box of chocolates along with their card and money. It was a small gift, but really thoughtful and it added a nice touch. You could do something like that too.

It would depend on how much I could afford....but even before I opened the question and saw your mom's amount, I had decided on $20. That would be the most I would give.

Wow, to me 20 seems low but I think it depends on how close you are. For close family and friends I'd say no less than $50.

It all depends on how much you make. If you are really rich and give like 20 dollars, that will make her feel kinda worthless, but if its really all you can afford, im sure it will make her happy. But no matter how rich you may be, i wouldnt do more than 100.

I would buy them a gift, but if they have asked for money then $20 is fine!
