My sister would like a party/outing that is low key. For example, everyone going to a spa or manicurist. It will also be at night. Any suggestions?

You can rent out a penthouse and have a photography agency come in and do the girls hair and make up and take boudair shots of you and your guest. (Usually about 95 bucks a girl). They can take lingrie pics and take them home to their husbands. I know pretty kitty studios host bacholorette parties.

Also, you can do a spa for a day..and have a company come and have an adult toy party.

Or have massagers come out and give your guest massages at a vacation rental...and have drinks and food..and play games.

If your sister likes to go dancing that can be low key and no strippers. A lot of bars, do special things for wedding parties that are low key, but loads of fun. Ask her friends what she tends to like to do. Then try to put that into the mix. You can do movies, and maybe pizza. You could go minature golfing as a group. A bachlorette party is really anything that you enjoy doing. Make sure that the bride's interest and tastes are considered. I would even suggest passing ideas or choices by her. I know that it's suppose to be a suprise kind of thing. You don't need to say when. I'm sure she's figured that something is possibly going to happen. If she has a say, she may feel more relaxed when going along with you on that night. As opposed to tense because she's not sure what to expect. Good luck though and have fun!!

I hate strippers, but I'm so not a prude, so I don't know how risque/tame you want it to be. We had a slumber party for my best friend's bachelorette party, and we had one of the sex toy party things where the lady comes and brings all the stuff and you can buy it (always fun!), and we all added $$ to our orders to go towards whatever the bride wanted. Then we played a game where we broke into teams, everyone had a banana and a condom, and the judge put tons of lotion on everyone's hands. The object was for the each person to put the condom on and take it off, then pass it to the next person, and so on, with the team that finished first winning. But everyone's favorite game was c*$k decorating. We found cake pans in the shape of ...well...that, they were about 4" long and were anatomically correct. We bought different kinds of frosting, food coloring, sprinkles, whipped cream, red hots - all kinds of stuff - and split up into teams. Each team had 3 of the cakes and 20 minutes to decorate all 3 however they wanted. The bride was the judge, and we had categories: most realistic, most creative, most disgusting. Of course, then we ate the cakes, and that was hilarious in and of itself. I have pictures of the cakes somewhere - post a note on here if you want me to email some of them!

Of course, chick flicks and spa days are always fun, too!!

My sister was the maid of honour for her best friend who is allergic to alcohol and we had teenagers joining us so we needed something not involving strippers ourselves. What we ended up doing is bowling and then appetizers & desserts at Kelsey's followed by watching movies at the brides' parents house until we fell asleep.

The spa & manicures sounds like a very good idea but keep in mind that any spa businesses will close fairly early in the evening (i.e. 9pm). One thing you could do is, if anyone attending has a Mary Kay consultant (or is one), you could do a mani-pedi party. They would come to you and all of you could just sit back and relax.

You may have been burnt before in the past with some underground stripper talent. However there are those that have come from well known male revue stage shows and know how to entertain an audience and keep people talking for years to come.

However, I can strongly recommend pole dancing which is all the craze at the moment.

Have you thought about a Passion Party? The bride to be can earn free products, and you can have a lot of fun in a safe environment. Sometimes you even learn a little and you'll definitely laugh a lot!

The parties are free to host, and it's easy to find a consultant in your area. Go to http://www.passionforall.com and she can find you a consultant anywhere in the US or Canada for your party- even on short notice.

It's a nice change of pace, and you learn fun ways to pamper yourself and increase intimacy. It's NOT just sex toys either! The parties are very tasteful and professionally presented.

You could arrange for everyone go to a spa and have massages, have their nails done and makeup tips. Contact your local spa and see what kind of packages they have available.
