*** IN ADDITION TO MY GIFT OFF HER REGRISTRY***
So i'm really crafty, and my co worker is totally crushed that her family took all of her invitations and she has not a single one left to so anything scrapbookish with, so i decided to do something neat, (well i think it's neat) I took the invitation that she sent to me, and i reduced the size and made two duplicate copies, now heres the plan.

i have the large invitation, and two smaller ones, with the large one i'm putting that one in an 8x10 frame and the background i found some paper that has "i love you" in all sorts of different languages, putting the invitation in there with a copy of her engagement picture, and since there is a 3 hour break between the wedding and the reception, i'm going to try and get a great picture of the two of them to rush over to walgreens and put that one in there too. the two smaller ones i'm doing the same thing, but in 5x7 frame and giving those to her parents and soon to be inlaws..
sound good?

i have a digital camera and with their photo machines in walgreens i should be able to get the prints that i want and put them right next to the engagement photo.

also i know that she's using different kinds of flowers in her wedding so i found some prepressed dried flowers (from a craft store) that i've put into the frame too.... and no it doesnt make it look tacky!

Last part... is it acceptable to be giving her parents and inlaws gifts too?

the I LOVE YOU paper is black & gray writing on red paper. Red and black are their wedding colors. and it's not that I'M saying " I LOVE YOU " its representing the love between the two of them!

What a wonderful idea. You will have given her the best gift and one that her parents and soon to be in-laws a wonderful gift as well. There is nothing wrong with giving this gift to them and their parents. It just shows that you are wonderful person who really cares for her friend.

I was just a bride myself, and I love scrapbooking and crafty things. As a bride I would have really apprecaited that. My photgrapher made us a photo album with all of our pictures, but I am making a scrapbook myself. The thing is, it is really hard because I work FT and we are busy. That is the best thing you could ever do for a bride is something personal. The bride and groom will feel so special. She is lucky to have a friend like you.

That is so sweet - it is a gift that is from the heart and she will cherish that forever. I would not give gifts to the parents, but she will love that. It should be a wedding shower gift and not an actual wedding gift that way she can open it while you are there instead of after getting back from the honeymoon.

Awww.. You're definitely a special friend! Wow, way to pay attention to the details. I'm am most certain she'll adore it! That's one thing I kept (and a wedding program) so that I could scrapbook it. And had I run out, I'd definitely want a friend like you! Keep on being so considerate gal! Best wishes!

I think that the idea is right, but I REALLY don't like the "I Love You" paper. "I Love You" messages should come from the spouse, not the friend. I think it would be better with a wedding paper of some sort behind it. It can mention love, but "I Love You" just isn't right coming from you unless you love her romantically.

I think that it is a REALLY great idea. Not only is it very personal and something that they will cherish throughout their marriage, but they will be able to tell that you put a lot of work and effort into it.

Gosh, what did you do for your best friend's wedding if this is what you do for a coworker? You are so nice, I'm sure everyone will love these gifts.

I just got married in December and I wish that someone would have done something like this for me. I think that she will love it and always cherish it. Good luck.
