My wife asked me for a divorce because she found out that I was emailing old girlfriends. She called each of them and they told her nothing was going on and I said nothing inappropiate in the emails. My wife is pregnant and she still wants a divorce. I got angry with her, because I feel like she was never really my friend and I could not talk to her so I talked to friends. I recently found out that she cheated on me while we were dating, I did too, but now I think of her as a liar. Do you think she shoud divorce me over some emails? Is there more to it, I should have not tried to turn it around and make it her fault, but I feel like she is to blame for my actions. Why does she want to leave me? This sounds crazy I know but I want to be honest and I am running out of space. Help.

I'm not going to spend so much time pleasing my husband who treats me like I'm invisible. What kinds of things can I do to be a little more selfish, yet not wasteful of time and resources or that becomes overtly time consuming?

Don't say "take a bath" because that's not even selfish...that's self-care. A cup of hot tea is also not selfish, it's a beverage, humans need hydration.

Do wives like to receive erotic/suggestive letters from their spouses? If so, what are some tips for writing it. Suggestive words, subtle euphemisms, things like that (nothing that would get this question banned.)

We have been together for 8 years just got married! Married for 6 months. The 8 years we dated I didn't get to know his side of the family( because we never visted his family). We got married met his family and WOW his family is white trash, small town(1000 people) and eat meat and potatoes every night. I am a world traveler and from New york city and I am a very fit person. What was I thinking.... Now that I am in it for the long run.... and not happy with what I am seeing///// he is a total different person ( his morals changed, less motivated and lazy and is getting fat)all his family can talk about is who walked down the street from rail road tracks and how much they saved at the grocery store.

Am I complaining too much? It's sort of suprise to me because when we dated for the first 8 years he was living life with me... we travelled, eat healthy/ exercised, socialized and had same goals and intrests.
Are we too different too last together? Any advice would be great!!!

I started seeing a guy 7 years ago who was in the army. He and i fell in w/ one another and the only reason we didn't make a commitment w/ one another was because he was getting deported overseas. He's seen so many marriages and breakups between couples who's been deported and he didn't want that to happen w/ us. Well, just recently he and i came into contact w/ one another while out. He's now retired from the army and he said he's been looking for me. The thing is, im married now. After spending some time alone with this guy i realized that im still so in love w/ him and he still feels the same for me. Don't get me wrong. I love my husband. But im IN love w/ this guy. What should i do??? Im so confused about things.

The only way marriage will become very popular again is to do away with the outdated forever vow and introduce something more appropriate for our time. Yes you read correctly. I believe the time for term marriages is here and now. The idea of forever is scary and un-appealing to many single guys and women. The biggest reason for our high divorce rate over (50%) is the vow of forever. The idea of forever is old fashioned and should be updated to fit the modern times. Consider how things have changed: no more stay at home Moms (over 85% work), many households now have both spouses working. Who cooks and clean is no more well defined. Love making after the first year is without passion because the pursuit of dollars takes a toll on perception of reality. To prevent and avoid the high divorce rate marriages should have time limits.

1. 2 years Term—A two year marriage will be a good way to determine if you really want to stay with your partner longer. This marriage will have no division of any thing; you get to keep what you entered the union with. In fact it should be clearly stated that the marriage will expire in two years. No lawyers, no bitterness and imagine how much couples would save.

2. 5years Term--- The five years term is the next best step for couples that have gone through 2 years term and still have the desire to be together. This commitment will help tighten up the bond and keep the relationship fresh and full of passion.

3. 10years Term--- This is the term for couples planning to have kids. Any guy that signs for this will be well aware of the commitment involved. Child support payments agreements should be built into this term to keep the courts and lawyers at bay.

4. 25years--- This is for true and known love. No couple should be allowed to sign up for this term unless one of the first three applies.

Progression in commitment is what makes sense and will make the institution of marriage popular again. I know some females might frown on term marriages but when you consider the present alternatives; term marriage is the way to go. What do you think? http://say-what-ever-you-think.com

If you were at the shopping center and you had two seperate items and you knew they were priced separately but when the clerk picked them up they were together and she just rang up one item, would you bring it to her attention that she has made a mistake? If so , why? If not , why not?

i've had this rule since i've been with my husband-no hanging out with the opposite sex one on one.if a third person is there it is fine. my husband thinks it is silly. he says he trusts me but i don't want to put the IDEA in ANYONE's head that i could be cheating on him. Well, my husband is out of town tonight with his band and i am stuck at the house by myself (i had to work) a fellow employee and good friend has nothing to do either and offered to hang out......i told my husband and he thinks it is completely fine. i trust myself and trust my friend and wouldn't do anything to hurt my husband BUT i don't want to put thoughts "subconciously" in his head....so what to do???

After finding out that my X girlfriend was pregnant I told her good luck and never looked back. I have paid child support but I have not been in my daughters life. She is five now and I got sober and talked with her mother. She really wants me to get involved and I want to know what the best way to ease into her life would be.
I also have a three year old boy that I do take care of. Due to my meddling mother they have met and know each other. Perhaps that will help with the transition.
Please help if you have any advice.

me and this guy I’ve dating for about a month were eating some cheese puffs while we were watching a movie and after he was done he was looking for a napkin to clean his fingers and i took his fingers and started to clean them myself with my mouth. after a minute of me doing this he gave me this disgusted look and pushed me away.
and i was like what the hell is your problem
and he said what i was doing was very unhygienic, and nasty
and i said that if he was a normal person he would have did it his self, and my bad for trying to
help him out
he said sorry that his mother taught him manners, and that i go around sucking strangers fingers.
and i said well sorry for flirting with him i didn't know he was an uptight a**hole
Then i kicked him out.
Even though I know I’m probably not going to see him again, I just want to know if what I did was weird, or wrong.

My boyfriend of 6 months just confessed to me that he was still with his ex-girlfriend when we met, and continued to date her after me and him started dating.
He said that he didn't expect us to really get serious, so he didn't feel the need to tell me at first. he said that only after he started having deep feelings for me, that he really wanted to be honest and tell me about this other relationship, so that we can get off to a fresh start, and build a more solid relationship.
I was heart broken for a few days, but I eventually forgave him, because he told me that he would no longer see the other lady.
for some reason I feel kinda stupid for letting him off the hook so easy...do you think I should believe him that he will be honest from now on ? should I believe that the other relationship is over ? I dont know the lady, so it would be impossible for me to know...should I trust him ?

My husband probably probably thinks i am crazy because i pratically begged him back 2 weeks ago. After we started sleeping together again he says we can be friends with benifits we will be the best divorced people. I hate this for our 2 yr old and my 7 yr old and of course want him to come home and don't want a divorce but at the same time i want to show him i'm fine without him. I have called alot this week for him to see his daughter plus i miss him but i want to show him even though i would take him back i want to show him i'm fine without him. I think not calling won't be enough because in his proud(hispanic male) mind he will think i not calling but miss him. I need to do something drastic so he will believe i don't care anymore but i don't want to compromise my values or integrity. He is a successful person and i think he sees me as week and crazy by somethings i have done lately and in order to respect me i have to stop and turn the tables any ideas??

I've been married to my husband for 6 years, with him for 10. After we got married he became very abusive. Before we married he was verbal abusive and that should have been a warning. He's physical daily. He'll even beat me infront of our 2 young children. He doesn't hit them but he shows them it's ok to hit me. It's a new year and I'm planning on leaving but I think it's impossible. I signed a prenup because he's a very successful business man. We have a lot of money but he made it all. I married when I was 18, my highest level of education is high school. I have no job and no education because he wanted me to stay home to raise our children. Now when I think about it, I think it's because he didn't want me to account to nothing. I don't have access to the money, he gives me a weekly allowance but it's mostly for groceries and things for the kids. I have managed to save a couple thousand over the months. I have no family here in New York. Can anyone help me?

My hubby and I are stuck at home with our 17 month old daughter because she has pink eye and we don't want the other kids in the family to get the same thing. Does anyone have any fun ideas while we are at home for new years eve. This is the first time either one of us didn't go to a party for the holiday. I am pregnant, so it's not like I can get drunk. My hubby is already drinking his beer!

My boyfriend and I have been together since we were 15/16 and now we are 23/24. We've been living together like a married couple and I feel it's time to make it legal. He does not see a logical reason to get married. I can't seem to come up with one. We don't need to be married in order to know that we love each other, and we get along great. We budget our money, do fun things, have friends, work, share housework and other duties...the only thing missing is kids. I think we both want to adopt later on when we are more financially stable instead of having our own, if any kids at all. We are totally fine with just spending the rest of our lives with each other. I just want it in writing and he's resisting. Can anyone give me valid, logical reasons to get married? Any help is greatly appreciated.

My bestfriend had been planning a wedding for next year. He calls me today and tells me he just got back from city hall, they got married today for tax reasons. I've known him for many years, been through a lot together, but last 8 years or so we are not as close as we had been when we were younger. problem is, I can't stand his wife, she is disgusting, please just take my word for it. His family agrees with this and they do not support their relationship either. I honestly didn't beleive their relationship would last and really hoped an actual wedding wouldn't take place. I planned on sitting down with him and try to talk him out of it prior to the wedding to be honest.

I guess I need to give some background. She is unattractive and overweight. She is also a professional dominatrix, he is now her submissive and treats him as her slave. How he fell into this is beyond me. They both do drugs together. I could continue....

Should I just be silent or loudly protest?
