If you received a phone call saying that your husband has had a mistress for 3 yrs and you confronted him on it and he denied it would you still snoop thorough his phone bill or check up on him?

It was a man that called me and said it was a friend from the station (he's a cop)

Cheating husbands always deny affairs. Sometimes even when they're caught in the act. Obviously, the other woman knows of you, the question is, do you know her? I would not just let it go. Even if you snoop on him, he probably has it all well planned. The thing is, if she has told you, most likely he is not still seeing her because of it. She was probably tired of being the other woman, and waiting for the empty promises.

I definitely would investigate. Who was the call from? Does he have any people in his life that would do that to him?

But examine his behavior - does he have the opportunity to cheat? Business travel, late nights etc...I'd look on the internet for signs of cheating, evaluate your hubby, then see if you need to dig for more. You can also be upfront with him about behavior, like, you came home at 10pm 2 nights ago. If you want me to believe you're not cheating on me, then explain what you were up to.

Honestly, though, it depends on you. Do you, as his wife, WANT to know if he's cheating? If he is, it means there are problems in your marriage that involve you too, not just him. It's a hard road. I'd personally want to know. But that's up to you.

Yes, I would strongly suggest it. It would be very childish for someone to just call you and say that. I would take precautions to make sure he is telling the truth.
