So I work with a sweet 22 year old woman who I've been having lunch with for about a year now. We talk almost every night over the phone, and I taken her out for dinner a few times.

I, like you, have always thought the age difference was too much.

But we are where we are now.

I think I have to proceed with this. I tried "not going there", but it's become virtually impossible at this point. She wants to get married, and other than age, I can't think of any other reason why we shouldn't.

If you want to knock some sense into me, now is your chance.

When living overseas, there are so many household and childcare chores a couple has to do by themselves, without help from family or servants.

On the other hand, they have less interference from in-laws and nosy relations.

So in general, do you think Indian couples living overseas enjoy life more than the ones living in India?

Why do people insist on telling other people how to live their lives? I mean u can give someone ur opinion and they can take it if they want but if they don't why do some people keep pushing the issue?
Say their making a mistake on who their dating, don't u think it's their mistake to make? Would u stop talking to someone becuz YOU thought they were making a mistake, or would u stick by them regardless of their decision?

I'm not talking like people on here asking questions and answering, I'm talking more on the lines of family and friends.

I'm engaged to be married and suddenly I'm having mixed feelings about everything. I feel that I'm sacrificing too much for my fiance and he's not willing to sacrifice or compromise as much for me. I'm beginning to learn that he's very closed minded, me however, I'm the opposite. One example is me always wanting to adopt at least 1 of my kids and give birth to the other. He is not supportive of the idea because "he's never done it before and doesn't want to ever do it." I asked him that even if it was one of his wife's desires to adopt 1 child would he go through with it...he said, "You can't have all of your desires, that's just the way life is." Now I'm at a crossroad. The things I truly love are things he seems to not be willing to compromise with. Is it worth it to sacrifice so much when the person you're with is not sacrificing hardly anything at all?

I would really appreciate sincere and thoughtful answers. Thank you. :)

My husband and I were separated, I during the break-up, I had a fling. I later told my hubby about the fling and with whom it was with. I did this so that the relationship would be brought to the open and that it wouldn't go any further.

When I told the guy what I had done, I told him that I wish nothing ever happened between the two of us and I wish I never told you anything about how I feel. He said, "No, what you wish is that you didn't tell your husband."

I believe he is the one that wishes I didn't tell my husband...so that the affair would continue on. What do you think?

My fiance spends way too much money on the holidays. We are fresh out of college and trying so hard to save (however that is kind of one sided, I want a mortgage one day). His family is on the other side of the country, while I have no problem with him going to see them, plane tickets are very expensive and they are not willing to fly out to see us even once (because they don't want to spend the money) if thats not bad enough.....

He buys SUPER expensive presents on top of that. I mentioned to him that since he's traveling he doesnt have to buy super expensive gifts and I'm sure people will understand. I am very frugal with gifts, but he snubs my gifts towards family member saying they aren't expensive enough. I tell him 1. they don't have to know the price. 2. I don't think they will. 3. We need to save up for ourselves!

I know its not my place to tell him what to do, but him just pouring out tons of money affects both of us, it delays us getting a home some day, please help.

I want to let him know how it feels from the other side.....he spends a lot of time at a particular restaurant, long leisurely lunches making friends with the waitresses. I want to find a hang-out of my own, so that I can start name dropping (hunky male waitstaff) and even txt messaging and inviting my new opposite sex friend over to hang out with us. I think it's only fair, otherwise he's not going to understand how I REALLY FEEL. I live in the southeastern US. What are some good places to go (has to be during the day while kids are in school)????????? Where do they have a reputation for having hunky male waitstaff??????

I am a retired psychiatric social worker. I have been married twice. In many courses including sociology marriage and family-it indicated that we tend to marry one of our parents (not literally). Parents of both couple's behavior and personality comes out in the individuals. I have seen some of this in both of my marriages. I have always based marriage on love, not a car, a house, or unfortunately, an education. I divorced the first time because he would rather drink than switch. The second one (18 yrs) has mood swings and does stupid violent things like my father. I would like to know what is the best method by which one chooses a mate for life. Men welcome. I especially like men who have remote control drapes. (private)

My wife suggested that we work on quality sex, not quantity. So I am lucky to maybe get it once a week. I am so frustrated, she send signs that she wants to, then when it gets time to go to bed she rolls over and goes to sleep. Just do not want to get dependent on self service.

or massages?

My husband is always trying to make me go and do these things but I just can't bring myself to pay for things like that? There have been times where he's dropeed me off at a spa and told the receptionist to have someone give me a massage and manicure!! I feel it's a waste of money. Do you think it's a waste of money or should I be taking advantage of the opportunity?

My wife, after seven years of on and off the bottle, cheating, drug abuse, hospitalizations for everything under the sun, and knowing she had nothing to offer me, gave me a green light to have sex outside of the marriage. Late this past summer, she got clean and began doing very well, and she asked me at that time to forego the green light and to give her another chance. (I gave her a last chance last year/we are only together for the kids and finances) Well, I reluctantly gave in, but as far as I am concerned, since then, she has shown me nothing. She never initiates affection, refuses sex, and is still on an emotional roller coaster, and still plays the victim whenever I give the slightest criticizm. I aam about to tell her just forget the whole thinga nd be friends and turn the green light back on. Don't you agree that if she wants more that its her who has to make the effort? (Believe me, my efforts have been endless)
