My niece left her husband after 11 months of marriage. No gifts were returned. I gave a very generous shower gift and an even more generous wedding gift. The next wedding will have just a token gift.

No. A gift is a gift. You might send them each a follow-up thank you note to say your anniversary came and went and you continue to be grateful to each and every one of them who helped to celebrate and commemorate your wedding day last year. (Not necessary, but just a thought).
But no. The gifts were not loans, and you are not expected to pay them in any way.

I take it you are divorcing? No, you don't have to reimburse any of it - but if you get married again, don't expect much.
How about trying marriage counseling before splitting?

It's a gift...you shouldn't have to reimburse them or give anything back.

No honey if your getting divorce you don't have to give anything back. What I would do is send everyone a Thank You note for supporting us in this time of need.
Let's face it they know
