in general, women have much more hardened opinions about people than men.

Why?

Became really cool friends with a classmate (college) We decided no relationship, but had love for each other. We did have a sexual relationship that benefited both of us and we always had fun. We managed to keep our private relationship from our friendship which was even better. Well we got into a really bad argument bc he asked me to pick him up from wk, and after i dropped everything i was doing, when i got there, he had already found another ride. Keep in mind I was clear across town. That started a huge argument bc this wasn't the first time that happened, he did little things like this often. Now he ignores my calls and text messages, continues to sit next to me in class, and won't even look at me.This broke my every bit of my heart and I had a hard time dealing with it. i don't know how someone could treat a person like that, I thought we were friends above everything. Well it's been about a month, and we still don't really talk and he ignores my text messages still

We have been married for a year and a half now. We have had some amazing times and really not so good times. When we are together and everything is fine we are perfect for eachother, its when we start talking about couple stuff. We are very jel people, even though we are married. My wife has told me she needs a break from us, to try and get back what we had. She wants to try and erase all the bad times we had and move on with us. I have made a apoint for us to talk to someone about us, she wants to do it. But at the same time i know i have not been the best husband, i really want her to realize like i have, how much i really love her. What do i do, is there anything i can do.

and excellent at budgeting and all things financial. We share housework, and I look after the chidren in the morning while she works and then I work afternoons and early evenings ( about 30 hrs a week). I have an illness that flares up from time to time but feel ready to work longer hours. I cook every other day, bath the kids, get them dressed and the eldest ready for school then walk him in with the youngest in tow. I fix stuff round the house, split the day up at weekends if we both need a rest, I'm far from perfect but feel taken for granted. She's on antidepressants which seem to help, but not enough. I want to stay with her, I can't face the family breaking up.My biggest faults are my moods and irritation with the children, although they always know they are loved and get plenty of hugs and are happy. I think I must be very frustrated with the situation. I have been gearing myself up for a split for a while, all I have to do is stop cooperating...

I am married. I hate being married. My husband is a JW and preaches 7 days a week and does not work. I have been supporting us for the last 4 years with no help. I have a child from a prev relationship, Hubby takes no responsibility for him. Does not provide food or clothes or attention or play with him ( he is 11 now) or cook meals for him, or anything!! and never has. Just complains about his noise and quirks ( he is special Ed) like he is in the way.
Hubby doesn't take care of me at all. No dinners out, no gifts, no special anythings but he says he loves me and appreciates everything I do. I do everything cause I have to, not cause I am wanting to! Hubby's world revolves around his work outs, his runningm, his preaching, his enema's ( for colon health) shaving, showering, sleeping and resting. My washer has been broken for 3 weeks. He didnt even bother to try and look at it till I hauled it to the back patio MYSELF since he said it was SO much work to move it to look at it.

Last summer my husband admitted that he didn't want me to be a housewife and so I went back to work. I have now picked up a full time job and he has picked up...nothing.

I work full time, raise 3 kids (1 disabled), go to school part time, take care of the house and everything I did before I went back to work. My husband is a truckdriver so he's only home 3 days a month. It all falls on me and he hasn't seemed to take into consideration how much I do.

Me self esteem was low before and I am really enjoying my job and the chance at a future.

My problem is that I'm tired and my husband doesn't seem to care. He will complain that the house isn't as clean as it use to be, but after doing the dishes he lays on the couch. I have so many things in my life and he has become an inconvenience. There is no evidence that he cares about the family. We don't have any kind of interesting conversations and sex is better by myself. How wrong am I for feeling this way?

so. my boyfriend has the tendency to fall alseep on the couch, which means that i sleep alone. i am more than FED UP with it, nonetheless, i acknowledge that he may fall alseep sometimes, so i offered a compromise: 3x times a week, he lays down in our room (of course, he can continue to watch T.V. and he does not have to actually sleep when i sleep; just lie down next to me). he tells me he will make an "effort"...what the HELL does that mean! when you get tired, instead of laying on the couch, GET UP! am i crazy for this....i think most women would hate if their men fell asleep on the couch. i'm sick of it...and we havent dealt w/ the fight yet. and we've been having this fight for about 1 year..now, i'm ******* done w/ it and am about to just end this relationship. i'm sick of it. and i will ALWAYS want him to lay down in our bed for at least 3 nights a week, so how can we ever come to peace if he's unwilling> i love him more than anything, but this is becoming too much...

I find myself at a crossroads, I been married for 13 years we've had a lot of struggles in our relationship, but we've made it through most of them. There has always been a big one, the issue of kids, my wife doesn't seem to have the maternal instinct and what's worse she doesn't like to talk about it. The older I get the more I feel I'd like to be a father.

Enter the younger woman, she 's come into my life for only a short time but i feel a connection with her. Culturally we share a common background so I feel I can talk to her, she's brought out a lot of buried feelings about my culture that I denied were there.

I'm really confused, I can really picture my life with this other woman , what do I do? Do I talk to her about how I feel???

I have really let myself down and feel like a HUGE HYPOCRITE. Now I am cheating and know fully well it needs to stop. It's like we are on crack (I'm speaking for both parties involved), and my guilt is killing me and I am ashamed to tell anyone what I've done. It's more emotional than physical by all means. I am not going to try to shift blame on our spouses for our disrespectful behavior, although I'd be lying if I said they didn't add fuel to the fire. I am just basically looking for advice on how to end something without it ending ugly. I have noticed that we will make up petty arguments to find reason to leave it alone, but it's not working. It's hard to end, because we really like each other..BTW...Neither of us never plan to leave our family or want to hurt our spouses. This has to stop immediately. BUT HOW?

P.S. We were both cheated on by our spouses..but this is NOT the reason for affair..Not looking for it, but 1 day attraction led convo at work in different direction

I was a peace of pooh for the first few years that me and my wife have been together. Now I work, cook, clean, get my kids up for school. If I set down for 10 min to take a break my wife jumps all over me for the things that I haven't done and then reminds me of the things that I have done in the past. AM I FIGHTING A LOOSING BATTLE?

A little background (please read before answering):
My husband and I are in our late twenties. Over the last two years, due to medical problems (his), our sex life has become almost nonexistent.
He was never super affectionate before these problems, but he's even less so now. So not only do I not get sex, I don't get touched...and when I DO get touched, I'm disappointed because it doesn't lead to sex! Sigh.
Anyway. Divorce isn't an option, and neither is having an affair. What I'm looking for is people who have perhaps been in a similar situation to tell me how they dealt with it, and perhaps offer me some ways of dealing with it myself.
So I need advice. Please?
The real question is, how can I find a sense of fulfillment without sex, and still be able to look my husband in the eye, and not hold it against him that he doesn't want sex anymore?

It is my understanding that most guys (including myself) have imagined/dreamed/fantasiz... about who they want to marry, to the extent that you have some idea of what type of personality traits, behavioural characteristics, ideals, values, and even experience(sexual or otherwise) you look for in a potential wife?

And what are the disadvantages of dating a single woman?

For years I have wondered about the judgment of people who start a family without first establishing the stability of a strong relationship with a spouse and a stable job that pays enough to afford all the costs of raising a child.

I am not even referring to "welfare moms". Instead I am referring to the many teen-aged or early twenties parents who end up divorced and/or broke with little mouths to feed.

Why do people do this to themselves? Why do they do this to their children? Is if because they are emotionally stupid, immature, desperate?
