Do the math! Twenty years is 20 months, and 38% of that is 91.2 months, or 8 years, 7 months, 6 days. And that assumes he stays out of trouble in prison, since any offenses inside might result in a delay of his release.

What was he convicted of? A 20-year sentence is not given for trivial offenses.

First of all, to rkeech: 20 years is 480 months. Not 20months.

Second, if he's been in and out of jail and now he's back in, is he really worth waiting for?

Twenty years for what? And was that twenty years before he would be eligible for parole? He could be there at least twenty years!
