and no one can really no what they would do until they are put in this situation for real..
it would depend on the situation as who he knew he could save for sure.. ?
who much love was between him and the wife and/or mom..?
how old the mom was at the time?
and if u are going to go by the Bible?
bible states.. when u get married u leave Ur mom and dad home to go be with Ur wife.. and that starts are new life and a new beginning.. and the wife come first..
so it has to do with feeling and the situation..
I am guessing I would try to save my husband... ?

Not a problem...my mom wouldn't get in the boat in the first place, and my spouse is my husband, so I wouldn't have neither of those relationships in the boat with me.
