My boyfriend of 4 years and I are moving in together in the new year. I've posted a few questions on here about us moving in together and it never fails, I have some person responding with, "you really should get married first", "why aren't you getting married?" We've talked about it but aren't ready for it in the near furture but regardless marriage has nothing to do with my questions.

What's the big deal with living together before marriage and why does one "have to" come before the other?

occasionally when my husband and i are not getting along perfectly, when he says goodbye he says 'goodbye friend.' I jokingly say, 'oh i have been demoted.' He laughs and says 'maybe' and leaves. i hate this... any remarks?

I am not Indian...and I always wonder how Indians feel about arranged marriages. Do you think it's right? Are a lot of the marriages arranged? Do they work out? I am just curious.

My husband and i have been married for 6 Months and have been together for 7 1/2 years. Just recently his mom had a stroke, and it has taken a toll on our marriage as well. i don't want to sound selfish about this because i really love his mother. I know he is going thru alot i wouldn't think so much about this if we had not already been thru this before. he once cheated on me about 2 1/2 years ago, and the same things we are going thru now seem to be the same way everything happen before. The only differnece is his mom being very sick. Can someone please help me out.

she wanted to know that if by getting married she can work in a factory or in other words have the right to work in a place where they only accept 18 year olds and over. Supposely getting married gets you emancipated when you're underage, so she wanted to know does that give you the right to get an apartment under your name, get a factory job, get a car under your name, ect. ect. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

I am 23 years of age and have been married for only 3 months. Before I met this man I lived a different life in a different Country. I was (and still am) attracted to good looks, and guys with a lot of money. The man (32 years of age) I married is not exactly the most attractiv, but I decided not to judge by looks. It is the person I married, but he has totally changed. He earns alright, but he wastes his money on stupid things. And I can't see much of a future if he keeps on doing this. Because I am stuck with the bills. I am paying off a car. His car is a piece of sh*** and doesn't work. I am working 6 days a week nowadays, 2 different jobs and studying, and doing all the house work. All he does is work, sleep and eat. . And there is nothing happening in the bedroom. I have so many goals, like completing my studies (accounting), buying a house and having a family. But if he keeps on wasting his money like that, I don't know if this has a future. Please tell me, what do you think?

I believe in marriage and family although my husband had an affair for 2 1/2 years. They lived together and it was just sexual...no emotional attachment from him. He let her into our home once when I wasn't there. I know he lies because he denies stuff that she says when she's not around, but doesn't deny it in front of her.

We have a 21 year history together and I believe in "for better or for worse". I believe we can get past this and our relationship will be stronger because of it.

The only question is, can we truly forgive and forget? I told him that I will do it and will forgive EVERYTHING he did to save our marriage. Has anyone else done this? He said he will do anything to make it work. He moved home last night and will not talk to the other woman again.

I need honest, intelligent opinions as I want to do the right thing. Here is the story. My ex husband and I own a home together and when him and I decided the marriage was over, divorced but we continued to be roommates for at least 8 years, he having his own room, and me having mine. This situation worked out great for the both of us and made our financial situation easier than living apart. Then came the day I met and married my current husband who lives in another state. My ex husband is happy that I have found such a great guy and he is willing to move out on his own as he is unable to afford the mortgage payment on our home. This will give my new husband time to sell his property, move out to where I am, get a job, then me and my new husband can look for our own home, sell the home me and my ex husband own and I will then be able to give my ex husband's half of the proceeds from the sale of the home we own together. Does this sound selfish on my part?

You are uptight and aren't as easy going as you once were. If you asked him to pinpoint a time it changed and he said it was around the time your Dad passed away, which is about two and half years ago. I responded by feeling defensive and somewhat depressed. I'd much rather be told positive things. He claims he wasn't trying to be negative but just point out his observations that I don't handle things like I used to. Why do I have this compulsion to 'fix' myself and feel defensive? How would you react?

You hear all the time about the statistics of who cheats, and how often - what are your real experiences? Ever cheated? Been cheated on? Age/gender - were you married or dating?
If you cheated - have you done it again?

my husband is trying to win custody of my son by claiming that i'm mentally ill, he says i've been prescribed medications for depression in the past and that i didn't take it but that was more than a year ago and i am fine and i dont need to take any meds now, i just had an evaluation by MD that said that i don't need meds.
So how can i proof to the court that i am not mentally ill and that i am a fit parent and that in fact my husband is the unfit one? What do i have to do to get custody of my baby? Please, help with advice.
