You hear all the time about the statistics of who cheats, and how often - what are your real experiences? Ever cheated? Been cheated on? Age/gender - were you married or dating?
If you cheated - have you done it again?

I'll play, too. I am 24/F - never cheated, never (to my knowledge - but isn't that always the case?) been cheated on. In a serious relationship, but never married.

I know a lot about this one. First off it's very very common. People you would never think of, cheat. You don't need to be drop dead gorgeous! One of my good friends has been cheating on his wife, since they were dating. They have been together for 11 years. He has slept with over 20 people. The last affair he had, was the longest. It lasted for a year and half. He ended up getting her pregnant. But is still married to his wife, and basically deserted her. Most of the other guys and girls I know have cheated multiple times, and it didn't matter married or dating. Just oportunity. Most of them were actually fairly happy in their relationships, and had decently sexually satisfying ones also. But guys and girls (equally) have a hard time saying "no" to someone who is making them feel extremely sexy and wanted. Only people who are emotionally and or physically neglected at home, are the ones who go "looking" for it though. That's just my experience. I have been cheated on both married and dating, but I have never cheated.

I have cheated on my husband while he was in korea with the army. We married young and i had never been with anyone else. He was gone for a year with training then another year in korea. He would drink every night and call me and yell at me, we grew apart and were fighting all the time, i met someone who wanted to know about everything that was going on in my life.. He seemed like he cared. Then one night it happened. We had a short relationship and my husband found out when he came back home. I felt awful and I regret it so much. I wasnt strong enough or mature enough to be alone that long. We are together now and this time HAPPILY married. I learned about what happened and why i did it, now i understand how to handle my feelings and have matured. I wouldnt ever do it again, it hurt too many people and was a pointless temporary fix.

It really is annoying though when a guy says he didnt see it coming when he is cheated on, you say a woman "nags" all the time, well maybe if you listened to what she was nagging about she wouldnt have to find what she needed from someone else. We say its going to happen and really try to prevent it and get our man to care, then when he doesnt it makes it so much easier

I never cheated, my ex wife did, I was married 17 yrs We dated for a yr before getting married. Now that I'm divorced, I've been shocked at the number of married women that are out there playing around, with in a yr of being divorced, I knew 7 married women out playing around. I feel it's more common the anyone knows.

When I was 21-23 the married men pursued me. I was w/ 4 in that time frame. I was single and wasn't dating anyone. Only 1 of the 4 I knew was married (the one I knew his wife was cheating on him w/ one of my friends)....the others I didn't until after the fact. I was young and dumb and they were all older (late 20's early 30's).

I've been cheated on in a serious (but dating) relationship....It was at a party at my bf's place - he hooked up with a girl in his bathroom while I was there! I didn't find out until about a year later! He also cheated with another girl whom he took to the fair with our tickets, I went to confront him at his house and found her in bed with him!

I have and would never cheat on my partner.

My partner says he does not understand nor believe in cheaters. He caught his gf of 4 years (now ex) cheating on him!

I've never cheated, but I have been in the room when friends have cheated (though they were cheating on others whom I did not know).

I'd have enough spine to just end the relationship first, unless it was drunken or something.

I think at least 98 per cent of people cheat at one time or another. I cheated on my first husband. my second cheated on me, and the one i loved most ( my third) cheated on me for 30 years until i finally woke up and stopped being in denial. just remember,,, "what goes around comes around"

Cheating is very common whether people admit or not. They have done studies. 60 - 80% of men cheat on their spouses while 40 - 60% of women cheat. I have cheated and been cheated on. Cheated on my wife when I was 33. Was cheated on twice by the person who became my wife when we were dating. I was 20 & 21 at the time.

People have to learn to deal with the fact we are sexually beings. Sometimes u just cannot resist someone of the opposite sex. I am not sure if humans are meant to be monogomous. I think that is something that was made up by religions. Without religion there is no such thing as marriage.

My husband and I both have been cheated on by our ex's who both had multiple affairs and both tried gay affairs. We are both very happy with each other, married 11 years with four kids. We are in our fourties. God has a way of making all things new.
