Okay, please hold back judgements and remember that I am in pain. For those of you who remember, last week the guy I was dating broke up with me because he felt like he had to give things one more try with his ex-wife (yes, ex they are divorced) for the sake of their two kids. She has always wanted him back and he has not. Although he feels very guilty because of the kids. I'm sorry. I still love him. I know I should be hoping they get back together, but I am human and still wish we were together. I so don't understand what has happened here. So, in your opinion how often do second chances actually work after they have already divorced???

My husband and I can't find an affordable place with our own space and he suggested we move into one of the trailer parks here. The rent is the same as in the boarding house we stay in now but we wont have to deal with all the crazy people. But i don't want to I mean that's like hitting rock bottom! And I've never had to stay in a trailer or even an apartment for that matter! It's bad enough I have to take the bus everywhere now that my mom has taken back the car she gave me to use since I got married but to live in a trailer? That's too much! My husband said i was just being a spoiled brat and got mad at me and said he was going to move there if I went with him or not! But that's not fair because without him I have nothing: nobody and no money since I'm unemployed! I mean would you live in a place like that?

Your life and happiness should take a back seat to your kids'.
You want to divorce, then wait for kids to grow up.
You had kids, you find a way to work it out.
That applies to both parties.

If they are ordered to pay child support and the mother is taking care of the child like she is supposed to, then why are they so obsessed with knowing where the child support check is going? My best friend is in this situation. Her son's father doesn't want to see her doing well at all. She doesn't need the pennies that they are sending her anyway ($350 - $400 per month), but he is trying to get his payment reduced because he thinks she is using that money to get her hair and nails done. So what if she is? She spends way more than any $350 - $400 on that child. She works full-time, pays for daycare, food, clothes, shoes, medical expenses, etc. Not only that, he NEVER sees the father. He is 4 and and has seen his father 3 or 4 times. It all balances out so why does he care? Most of the men that are like this aren't hardly paying anything, so I don't understand it. Where he sees it as "extra" income for he, she sees it as his responsibility.

Why are so many men like this?

" I'm stressed" " It's hormones" "my boss is mean" "I have big bones" and so many more,
They're all B.S. there is a simple scientific fact that if you burn the same amount of calories you consume, your weight stays the same.
Has anyone ever heard a woman say "I'm fat simply because I eat too damn much". ?.

When I came home from camp, I heard my parents were divorcing whenever my dad find's a appartment with a good rental rate. I don't want them to divorce so I have been trying to get them to get back together with my only friend who knows about it, kinda like in the Parent Trap. They don't listen and continue to think a divorce is better then trying to get along. I don't want them to divorce but slowly and surely the divorce is happening. I don't know what to do. People with parents having to divorce please give me some suggestions. I need them fast. My dad is loking up appartments on the internet and adding the web pages to favorites. He might purchase an appartment soon. HELP!

Why can't they see that the children are most important and not doing what they think is "best" for them, which is usually torturing the ex.

Been married over 20 years have children (youngest 12), two in college and one in HS. Over past 20 years, found out my husband is not only alcoholic but addicted to vicodin. He has been to rehave and out and back into the vicodin. I am ready to divorce him but I am afraid I may not financially be able to keep my house. He does have a salary comparable to mine. Anyone out there have any thoughts on this. We have two college students we cover payments on and a large mortgage payment . When divorced how does all the finances get divided? He has agreed to use the same attorney (because he realizes he has caused all the problems)

My husband goes fishing all the time, which i am totally cool with, but i am home with the kids when he goes. i dont mind that he wants some away time to relax, but i need my time to relax too. My best friend is comming into town next weekend and she wants to go out for a girls night. Maybe to the casinio or to the bar for a few drinks. My hubby doesnt want me to go cause i am the only married one in the group(whick i dont understand cause i am totally faithful), plus i dont like it when he goes to the bar without me, because the last time he went he got all stupid and got a DWI. So he hasnt been out to a bar since March, infacthe hasnt gotten completely drunk since then. I havent drank in over a year because i just had a baby last month.
So i guess my question is, should i go with my friends even if it makes him mad? if i do how do i make him understand that i need time too, i have told him, but he doesnt get it. How do i make him understand without getting into another arguement?

I am a christian, and believe what the word says about divorce, we have only been married 4 mths, we argue, thats it not sin against each other, he refuses to be in a marriage where we argue. He started talking about divorce within the first month and I told him he did not mean it, every time we get into an argument he wants me to leave his home, I told myself if he told me that again I would leave, he did and I did. The next few days he's filing for the divorce.

I have asked him to get rid of at least some of it. And that was 2 years ago. And he still has it all and keeps adding to his collection. We have a 6 year old and a 1 year old in the house.

How do you collect child support from a man working under the table. Basically, he does not pay taxes. Child support knows this and told me there is nothing they can do and I have to wait until he gets a legitimate job. Is there anything I can do and if so how??

I live in Sacramento, Ca and its getting harder to find black men of any substance.

No I'm not saying that they have to be proper and well to do I just want to connect with a black man on an intellectual level. I've had it happen before, but things didn't work out.

Where are the good ones hiding? (Please don't say they're with white girls because only the terrible ones go outside their race, its true!)

I'm not dating out my race so that is not an option.

Seems like we always end up acting like a mom and her eighth-grader arguing about homework. But I've tried pretty much all the constructive ways I could think of to get him going on a project. On the last couple of home improvement projects, we worked on it together, and it was difficult getting him going. I would have to do all the research (borrow the books from the library and learn how to do it) I would draw out the plan and list all the material we need. This time around, I'm too busy with a baby, so I tell him it's his project. It's a project that might take a couple of weekends, so we agree on a deadline that's months away, in October. Now, with a couple of weekends left, he's still not doing any research, drawing out a plan, figuring out what he needs. And only after we end up having a big fight does he even start looking into it. This is an awful pattern to get into, but how do I get out?
